    Lake contour maps.

Navionics or ARC GIS. ARC GIS has all lake maps from Game Fish. It will also show you public hunting land. Once you download the app, in the search function either enter lake maps, or plots.

    Alkaline Lake Access

I don't know this for a fact, just word of mouth, but I believe there was a tournament out there this past Saturday.

    Confidence Crank

Depends on the body of water and depth i'm fishing, but it's either flicker shads or minnows or Reef Runner 800s or ripshads. For 25+fow flicker minnow 11's or the reef runner 800's is all I run if I'm not pulling leadcore.

7mm Rem Mag vs 300 Win Mag

So after doing some research, I have made the decision to go with the 7mm caliber. Of course through my research the rabbit hole I have gone down gets deeper and deeper. I would like to shoot a 170-180 grain bullet and see most factory rifles are a 1:9 to 1:9.5 twist barrels. I spoke to a...

    Audubon

Was there a week ago. Fished for 3 hours, caught 12. Biggest was 17" but the action was good. I always seem to find fish for the evening bite. Try moving out a little deeper and get away from the crowd. I seem to do better when I get away from the crowd on that lake.

7mm Rem Mag vs 300 Win Mag

I want to thank everyone for the input thus far. So far what I have determined is that I need to get both the 300 and 7mm, but should also add a .280AI and another .270win. But can't stop there, should also add some short magnums in the calibers mentioned. Will also need a bigger gun safe...

7mm Rem Mag vs 300 Win Mag

I am hoping to extend my range to 500 yards with practice. Any further than that and I don't think I can ethically take a shot. What are some other options you would consider for caliber?

7mm Rem Mag vs 300 Win Mag

I have been considering adding a new gun to the collection. Would primarily be used for Elk and Deer. I have done lots of research on both calibers and see pro's and cons with each but I'm still undecided. If you could only buy one, which caliber would you personally go with? Keep in mind...

Cold weather layering system-What do you all use?

Ironically would answer this question very different for myself, even though I was the original OP. I took the time to invest in some quality sitka and kuiu gear. The Kuiu products are the best I have ever wore for layering in the cold. From sitting for hours to active hunts, this stuff is...

    NWT Championship in Garrison

Just saw that the NWT will be returning to ND next year. They will be holding their season ending championship in Garrison September 2-4. With the no boundary rule, that should be a really exciting event! **update** Apparently I can't spell in my title. Volmer, please change if you can.

    Walleye crawler harness

Personally I like a good 12# flouro. Get the leader material, not the flouro line material. Leader flouro is stiffer than flouro made for main line. Holds up really well for lindy's, slow death, etc and won't get the memory in your line that mono or mainline flouro will.

    One ear hearing protect?

Actually yes, I have done this. Bought a new shotgun a few years ago. Now prior to this I never used hearing protection(probably should have), but this new gun would ring the crap out of my left ear(I shoot right handed). I'm guessing due to the shorter barrel the new gun had. Long story...

    Archery Mule Deer

If or when you spot one you want to go after, take time to make a plan for the sneak. Pay attention to wind, topography and the physical exertion it will take. Nothing like getting close after a good stalk and not able to hold steady cause you are breathing hard. Use patience and enjoy the...

    Maximum Effective Distance

I would be very careful with the set up you have. You are shooting a lighter arrow, not super light, but anything under 400 grains, in my opinion gets to be very light. You are also shooting at a slower speed with a broadhead that with soak up your kinetic energy when it deploys and you won't...
