    Leadcore

Used all the time for salmon in 300 FOW. I do know that it takes less line to achieve the same depth as leadcore. I have also heard rods require special eyes. Never heard of anyone using it beyond salmon but seems like it would be an alternative to leadcore for walleye.

Pitching Jigs - explain it like I’m five...

Don't complicate it. Your goal is to keep your line TIGHT at ALL times, especially on the river. Need to use enough weight to keep it on the bottom and enough back pressure to feel the tap in current or if you are dragging it. Vertical jigging is piece of cake but realize they can hit it on the...

    Automatic Bow Latching Systems

Yikes...A rig on a roller trailer could make this interesting and to some extent a bunk trailer too. Either way, the convenience would be great. Just being able to get the tongue out of the water to the point where the driver can jump out and put the winch strap on it would be worth it.

    Automatic Bow Latching Systems

So do they have some sort of safety of locking mechanism on them? Mine will be with bunks, but don't like the thought of someone messing with it or accidental tripping going up or down the ramp. Thanks guys.

    Automatic Bow Latching Systems

Looking into one of these automatic bow latching systems that automatically latch your bow when you drive onto the trailer. I think there are a couple different brands/models out there. Anyone have one or recommend one?

    River is open....Well sort of!

Was down and checked the Meriwether's ramp this morning. They still have barriers up blocking the ramp and it looks pretty iced in yet. Doesn't really matter, water is chocolate milk...clarity has to be close to zero and lots of ice and debris in the water. Maybe next week.

    River is open....Well sort of!

Holding back water at Pierre because of the mess down south. They were only letting out 4k-5k from Oahe Dam as of yesterday. They are opening thing back up today to 19k and 22k by the end of the week. Garrison drops to 10k next week. Things will start settling down. Just need the water to clear up.

    Frozen in Ice Castle ideas?

One can always tell who their true friends are when you get in a pickle such as this guy was. A pickle like this could have happened to any of us. True friends will drop everything to help even if it takes weeks. Opie...you are a good man and a better friend. Good work!

Question for you guys that own meat grinders

I generally soak mine in strait 30w motor oil and then clean them up with brake cleaner before use. I find that I can use less pork fat in my sausage and it gives a nice tangy flavor to the finished sausage.

Question for you guys that own meat grinders

Had my LEM for 15 years now. No Rust. What you are looking for is food grade silicone spray. Spray them down really good and like others have said, put everything in in ziplock bags.

Good interview last night BTW. I get to do those too from time to time....it's always a crap shoot what clips they'll use on the news and if you end up looking like an idiot or not.

    Melt - thoughts

See the forest through the trees boys...winters like this make for good year classes of fish and full lakes, bugs for pheasant chicks, and good waterfowl nesting. Couple more weeks of this crap...just hang in there! This is exactly what we needed.

what oil to put in snowblower -- yes i can dig for manual - but wondering what you us

Small engines run hot. 30w does fine in small motors. Stay away from ethanol.
