    I would say it was more modern civilization not agriculture that wiped out or greatly reduced the numbers of the animals you talk about. Look what still happens to many animals that wander into towns.

    I really like the smoker you recommend Whisky, but as far as cold smoking rather than spend that on the attachment I just use a smoke'n tube from Owen's.............Can cold smoke cheese or whatever in any kind of grill you choose to do it on.
