    I took the topper off my pickup to haul something and have since decided I like the pickup better without it. I'm going to try a cover instead. Are there any that are pure junk to stay away from ? Or are there any that you like ? Are the soft roll up ones user friendly and do they seal up ok ?

    cool picture. It looks like the right eye is buggered up . Coincidence, I shared my fish guts and venison bones with a one eyed fox all last winter. It looked odd at night with one head light but in the daylight pictures you could see the eye was completely gone and constantly draining.

    Funny how territory is different , we have an overload of Robins and I've never noticed one in the garden, they are always hopping around in the lawn. Wife was giving me a haircut last week so I'm setting there watching this robin on the wire about 100 feet away and a sparrow hawk...

    I doubt that it's sparrows but anything is possible. Are the plants gone or just chewed off and laying there ? I'd set a camera out and see if you can catch them in action. We used to have cut worms, they would cut tomato plants but I haven't saw one in years .

    The best luck I have is with drip line and keep the ground wet until they come up. If the soil is lumpy I lay the seed on top and then use a sifter to put 1/4 inch of fine soil over them.
