With the extened forecast looking like it will be decently warm into late October, when are you guys thinking the rut will start up? Anybody seeing any scrapes yet? I love hunting the rut and can't wait to get out and chase some bruisers.
I wonder if the c-store/gas stations, motels, grocery stores, bars, sporting good stores, restaurants and the NDGF hate none resident hunters/fishermen as much as some on this web site???
Spoken like a true non resident....
My dad shoots a Browning Citori in 16ga. He buys his shells online from cheaperthandirt.com, the gun patterns unbelievably well! When he hits a rooster, it folds.
WOW!! I would have never turned around right away. I would have continued to drive down 28th St. and found the next road out. I have never had this happen before, usually landowners are pretty decent people to me. I guess some just get on a power trip or they have had to many sconi's tearing up...
I thought I found one once out pheasant hunting, it was a small dog kennel (used for like a toy poodle or some other POS dog). I pulled it out of the bush and opened it up only to find a half rotted pet cat someone had "buried," it was the grossest thing I have ever encountered. The whole event...
I've heard talks of a pipeline going across Kansas and into Colorado, pumping water from the Missouri into Colorado. It would be the dumbest thing they could do, there goes Oahe, Sak and fort peck! It would create jobs and possibly boost the economy but would be detrimental to the whole...
Saw this on the old site, just trying to help someone find their yellow lab. I do not know the guy who found the dog I just saw the thread and didn't see a forum on here about it, just trying to help. maybe this was already on here and I didn't see it yesterday since I wasn't on here much...
Just bite the bullet and go in to scheels on the weekend and try them on. It pays to have quality fitting gear versus being uncomfortable all day when the ducks aren't flying and fish aren't biting...
I definitely forgot how hard them little bastages are to hit! I got schooled the other night! Hopefully I can figure out how to shoot before October rolls around!
I have never personally shot it, but know guys that do and they love it. They say it is lightning fast and knocks em dead. I questioned how they patterned because of the unique shape but apparently it patterns just fine.
So I got drawn for a buck tag this year and can't get deer season out of my mind. Basically I just am curious as to what is your huckleberry for deer? Mine is my Tikka T3 25-06 shooting 117 grain bullets.
Just curious if any of you guys have had much success using them on Lake Sakakawea, I have yet to catch a walleye on one on the big lake. I know people crush fish on them over at Devils but I can't buy a fish on one on Sak.
I have the franchi highlander and absolutely love it! I am kind of different though and like a side by side better than an O/U. The highlander is an awesome gun, swings like none other and comes up nice into the shoulder. I am freaking lethal with it....there aren't too many roosters that get...
I have never fished farther west than douglas bay...this is going to be interesting to see if my run and gun tactics can find some fish haha good luck to everybody else in it!
