    Courtesy question??

Electric trolling motors are considered a powered vessel, subsequently are a burdened vessel and must give way to a non powered vessel, unless constrained by limited navigation (about to run aground) Basic rule of both parties must act to avoid collision regardless of being the burdened or...

    Table Refinishing Help?

I have done a couple pieces of furniture. I agree with the other posters on minwax oil based stain and clear polyurethane finish. The only other advice I can give you is test the stains first. If you have similar scraps of the wood use them if not the bottom of the table where it won't be...

Always wear a life vest in a kayak. Sit on tops and rollovers will happen. As stated in a previous thread tie sh*& down. It is a pain losing gear.

    Fishing Kayaks

NDOUTDOORS, if you are looking to pick one up right away, I give a thumbs up to a perception product. My friends kids dragged theirs across the dock for three summers and wore a hole in the transom. I called Perception and they sent a repair kit no charge. I told them I was willing to pay as it...

    Fishing Kayaks

Been fishing from a kayak the last two years in ND. If you can try it before you buy it, do it. Sit on requires some thought about how you move round (center of gravity is higher) Second look at how you might rig it. Where will the fish finder/ transducer go and where will the power source go...

    what to say...

Pacifiers go back to the time of Raves (2000) The drug ecstasy was popular and sucking on lolipops or pacifiers was a response to one of the side effects. But yeah pajama bottoms wool hats in 90 degree weather does not bode well. Then again there may be a bright spot or two. Think back to how...

    Targeting Drum...any tips?

If you plan on eating them make sure all the dark outer meat is off them, Also do not fry them unless they are real small the smell is awful. Have heard of guys on Lake Erie that boil them with crab or shrimp boil seasoning.

    Best boat shoes

Agree with Sperry or Harken Sailing Shoes. When the deck is heeled over they stick like glue. And yes they dry out quick. For the kayak I have been wearing water sock style shoes. drain holes in bottom and mesh sides. If you take an accidental swim they stay on and dry quick.

    Boat Floor Replacement

Late to jump on the bandwagon but agree with marine grade plywood only. Epoxy coat before putting vinyl or carpeting on. 3M-5200 not silicone, it is polyurethane and takes a while to dry but it will be on there for a long time. All fasteners should be stainless steel. Reinforce seat bases and...

    No Life jackets

Get the D&#^m life jackets. I always wear one in the kayak and always wore one anytime my fishing boat is moving (Motoring, trolling, drifting). I also have the cutoff lanyard attached to the jacket when motoring and trolling. I have no desire to watch the boat leave without me. Ask your...

    ARs for Southpaws?

Everyone else has pretty much summed it up, don't worry about ejecting shells hitting you. Find one that has a safety that is easily used left handed. I have fired an ar 15 and had no issues with the spent brass. The safety was set up ambidextrous so no problem. You know it is a shame there are...
