    Could maybe brake it down into regions of the state. Some may find it helpful for deer movements in a particular area or how the bird numbers are in another, waterfowl migration etc. Might help also if one was required to be a member to view the thread, not just someone trolling the site for info.

    Lost a St .Croix/Pfluger over the side. Was in the rod holder and heard a clunk as it went overboard. Marked a way point and kept on going. Last night got an unexpected shove from a wave and bent the roller/winch bracket on the trailer. Wife sent the net overboard last night but it was rescued.

    I second the ugly stick. They are pretty cheap and damn near indestructible in terms of a fishing rod. Put one of the cheap zebco reels on it and he should be in business.

    If he is reeling them in by himself by all means that should go towards his limit. If you ask any kid that has been fishing how many fish they caught they certainly aren't going to lie about it. My girls will always claim the biggest fish in the livewell.

    Which compartment as there are a few in the boat. Is it one of the bow compartments? When it's latched are you able to pull up on it and get any movement? I could see if the latch was not holding the lid down tight on the seal that it may have some give when stepped on.
