    Deer Lottery 2015

My understanding is they're trying to figure out how to let everyone know that the deer tag has now become a once in a lifetime event, similar to the elk tag.

    Lobster Party Around The Vortex!

Looks good. Are they the same as slipper lobsters?

    South Dakota Vacation

Go to any of the lakes and rent a boat. Pactola would be high on the list. Hit up some of the off the main road towns: Nemo, Rochford. Hiking opportunities are endless. Hike the falls area west off of Spearfish Canyon. There's a zip line deal down by Keystone. I would also consider taking my own...

    Son starting hunter safety

The key with kids is to get them started young. I've said it before, age 14 or whatever it is, is too late. Especially for girls. In between regular 'girl things' and sports, it's easy to lose interest in hunting by then. Start them early. We have a mentor tag down here that I think starts at...

    Deeper smart portable sonar

Sounds like he was trying to steal our fish too. I'm with Ahab on this one.

Friends that over borrow their welcome

Who the F borrows a dish washer? Or are you referring that the buddy got your x-wife?

    Deeper smart portable sonar

"If Anyone sees them, Please do let me know, 11 yr old Twin boys ran along the shore throwing stuff in the river as they were crying and sobbing, trying to make a wave to push the ball closer to the shore but its long gone probably floating around in Lake Oahe or in South Dakota somewhere by...

    Lunchbox Items

Here you go Guy. You can buy this stuff at the Bismarck oriental grocery store. I've never tried it.

    Fishing Bucket List

I need to get back to Alaska. Trip of a lifetime; Kings, silvers, and halibut. Watching whales feed in the back of a bay and running the boat right beside a female whale and her calf? for over 5 minutes, almost like they were putting on a show. If I hadn't been married I would have never left there.

    Deeper smart portable sonar

I remember it well. Guy had an avatar pic of himself. Anyways the kids have developed all kinds of emotional problems over losing this item. Hope they'll be ok someday. JuanR, were you down here fishing? When? You guys want some insight when you come down here let me know. I am back to my old...

    expandable garden hose

My wife bought a couple. I think they're pretty cool. I caught one with the snow blower, and I'm still finding sections of hose.

    Target Walleye e-mail

I remember when I was a kid, saving up a little cash to buy the In-Fisherman mag. I saved them all for a long time. Anyways, carry on.

    Tagged fish?

I caught one with a SD phone number 2-3 years ago. Called in, got an answering machine. Seems like a good program for $500,000.

So how do I enter? I feel I have a great chance of winning this thing. Gonna get me $50 of that fudge they sell in the snack room and eat it all in one day. No I won't share; I won it. Thanks Vollmer!

The pen isn't mightier than the sword

Sometimes you eat the fish... Looks like he died doing what he loved! Good for him in that sense.

Favorite beverage, and when you drink it?

Jack with a little Coke, almost anytime. Coors original for in the boat. Sam Adams, most any IPA, Easy Street, Honker's Ale...many, many others that are excellent beers. Stolechnikov Bloody Mary kicks A on an occasional Saturday morning. Very rarely a margarita on the rocks.

    making spinners

That's what I was thinking. I use 8 lb Power Pro and 6 lb Trilene XL on my spinners/Lindy's. I lose a lot of rigs, but learned a long time ago it's better for everyone to do a quick breakoff and continue fishing, rather than going back and trying to un-snag.

    Fish Guts

Ha ha. I know all those drinkers. Fish gut smell wouldn't be the worse or the stinkiest of their problems. I double bag and throw them in the garbage. Will start putting them in the grass clipping tote; sounds like a reasonable idea. - - - Updated - - - Agreed. Once the cleaning station is...

    Black Crowes Mystery Song (help)

Good tune. It's like a lot of their stuff. Good to hear something different. Do you like Cinderella? More metal but still has the southern rock flare, especially a lot of their stuff that didn't make the radio.

    Black Crowes Mystery Song (help)

She talks to angels? - - - Updated - - - There's one about 'speed' that's really cool; speed meaning 'fast'. I'll try to remember.
