    School Reopening

Curious as to what your thoughts are on schools reopening this fall. Any changes from 'normal' school operations that should be made, precautions, etc. What to do when kids or staff test positive (i.e. do you quarantine the whole class)? Will you consider keeping your kids home even if school...

    Dakota Walleye Classic

Surprised to see a 2.5 avg make the top 20, must be a fairly tough bite.

    cloud seeding...

Does seem like an odd use of dollars but Williston reported 0.64 inches last night so I wouldn't say the storm exactly vanished. Seemed like it was a fairly narrow band out that way, just intense.

Why come to ND when there’s lake of the woods

We are very spoiled in ND. I’ve fished in MN a lot over the years due to having a lot of family/friends there. There is certainly some good fishing there but in general most of their lakes are not that good for walleye. To go out and catch 10 eater walleyes on most of their lakes is a...

    Vacation homes

A coworker of mine bought one down there a few years ago, a new place. They do exactly what you are suggesting. Sounds like they do pretty well with it, although I know they've said as you mentioned it's more of an investment than something that is going to provide much income at first. There...

    North Dakota Fishing

ND is $48; MN is $52. But I agree it is surprising the number of WI especially you see in central ND but not sure of a way to curb it. Just surprising that our fishing is that much better than theirs. Not like the lodging or scenery on our lakes is great.

    Easy Video Editing?

Far from an expert but WeVideo was pretty easy to use this spring as a distance learning teacher. I am not sure what it costs, if anything. It's really the only one I've used so not a great wealth of experience.

    Replacement Net Bag

Is this somewhat decent? I definitely want something that isn't going to be a hook magnet. Just judging by the price I figured it was junk. https://www.scheels.com/p/frabill-replacement-net/08227124540.html?src=google_shipping_test&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzNyS9-WE6gIVwsDICh1mSg6hEAQYASABEgJvDPD_BwE

    Replacement Net Bag

I have an older Beckman net that could use a replacement bag. Beckman makes a model close in size to mine (24 x 22) but they don't appear to be in stock anywhere and I've been surprised at the lack of options out there. Would want something coated or similar. Any suggestions?

    Cattail Bay Boat Ramp

The gravel road does suck. Probably easier most times to use Beaver or Langeliers depending on where you want to fish.

    Sakakawea/wind

Seems to be fairly normal ND weather. Do a search of 'wind'...there's a few of these threads every year.

    River fishing with kids

Hopefully you're not out there today - yikes is it miserable windy. I assume you're going in a boat - there should be plenty of spots right in Bismarck between the Main St. bridge and Fort Lincoln to get out of the current behind sand bars and drift or sit still with jigs/minnows or crawlers...

    Depth Finders for Dummies

Your description is a little too vague to give great advice - some things that would be helpful to consider: -Where (and how) do you fish mostly? -Budget -Are you more comfortable with Lowrance/HB/Garmin?-they're all pretty similar in capability -Do you want just 1 graph or are you considering...

    side imaging thoughts?

I've had DI on a couple units, G3 Helix now, and just don't find it that great. Can't say I've used it a ton but like you say, 2D seems to work just as well. I've seen some youtube vids where it seems to help decipher fish vs. rocks on bottom so there probably are instances it is useful. SI...

    SD Walleye Season

MITCHELL, S.D. -- Non-residents should stay off the Missouri River in the springtime in South Dakota. That's the hope one man is bringing to the South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks Commission during its regular meeting Thursday, which will be held via teleconference due to COVID-19. Andrew Rick, of...
