    Tiring weekend!

Calving out cows in this wind and cold sure hasn't been much fun the last 24hrs. Any of you that say you miss it can sure come and take the night shift.

    rambox...

It does make your box smaller but not that big of a deal. Its very handy to keep chains, binders, tow straps, and anything else you can think of. Way nicer than reaching into the box to grab something. Sometimes wish my pickup had it, my Dad's does and its pretty cool. The other option is just...

What Type of Gravel to Use for a RV Pad???

I hate pit run. To many big rocks in that. All you'll be doing is picking rocks. Pay the extra 5 or 10 bucks a yard for screened gravel. I really like crushed asphalt. Packs very well and once the heat and sun hit it in the summer it sets up even more.

Looking for an Anvil or railroad tie

some old engine blocks work really well in place of an anvil. Have a 4 cylinder one from a tractor sitting outside that is very useful.

    ATV Trailer Length??

A trailer is also safer than loading on a pickup box. I've had a hook break on my aluminum ramps while loading in back of a pickup. Not fun. Also have about tipped an atv over backwards loading with a sprayer on with 10 gallons of water in it. I bought a 16' trailer with back ramp and side...

leatherman - is there any better???

I've had 2 Gerbers that I really liked. Their warranty was just as good. I broke one cutting thick wire I shouldn't have been cutting. Sent it in and got a new one sent back. I sent another one back and got a new one in return. I seem to keep losing them so quit buying them but I do miss them.

    Range finder help..

no I haven't tried it, but I can in the next few days once the wind quits. I know my old bushnell wouldn't. It wouldn't even work on really frosty mornings till the sun melted it. In the fall with no snow the sig will range stuff way out there. It is tough to hold steady enough to range small...

    Range finder help..

Sig Saer kilo 2000 gets my vote. I paid around 400 bucks. I've seen Cabelas have them on sale for 350. I really like it as it ranges stuff way further away than my bushnel. I do wish it had a more precise aiming dot for ranging stuff really far away instead of just a circle but its not that big...

    Food plot planning

I believe it would work but I'm not that impressed by it. Its basically broadcasting the seed on the ground and then cultipacking it. I think you could use a regular box drill, increase the down pressure, and almost no till with it. Small box drills at auction sales usually go rather cheap. You...

    Food plot planning

alfalfa is good. The first year the deer will probably keep up with the growth. After that it will grow very fast and tall. You can do nothing and the deer will still use it but I like to keep it mowed down so that it has fresh green lush growth that seems to attract deer even more so. You...
