    Bismarck Prop Works

He's a good'ol government hating guy too! Does he still have the banner up behind the desk that says, "6.5% discount for cash"? Best thing ever.

    Table Refinishing Help?

Absolutely. I've never worked with tongue oil, I know it looks nice but can't speak as to it's water resistance and durability. Polyurethane is simple and fairly bulletproof.

    Table Refinishing Help?

Whatever you do, don't use the stain/poly one coat products that are out there.... Now, I've had good luck with minwax oil based stains but I think any reputable brand will do. As for finishes, I generally use 3-4 coats of CLEAR oil based poly. The clearer a finish, the harder it will cure...

Good, bad, or somewhere in-between day.

Good outcome for you, but you only had an in-between day. Had the motor crapped out while it was just you and the little lady in the boat, and she she felt sorry for you, and decided to give you a knobber while you drifted across the lake, you would have had a good day.

    Need a trolling motor

I had the exact same problem.....Check the the multi-pin plug that connects the co-pilot and/or foot pedal to the trolling motor. The female pin holes in the one half of the plug have a tendency to get reamed out over time and you just need to make them slightly smaller to improve the contact...

    3be Meats Bismarck

Good to hear. I really hope these guys do well. They are on my side of town, and at a location I drive by several times a week.

    3be Meats Bismarck

Stopped in to this place to grab some brats and sticks to take to the lake on Friday. They are in the old sweetheart bakery on east Main. These guys are the real deal.... The habanero-pineapple brats are kick ass, and the blue cheese ones were great too. The licorice beef sticks are some of the...

Have any rocks you want to get rid of?

Always ask....My in laws have land north of Wilton. There is getting to be demand for the rocks as development around Bismarck continues. We've gotten calls from a few companies wanting to buy them. They use some for landscaping. The other calls we get is from companies that crush them and use...

Have any rocks you want to get rid of?

Your best bet is to find a few fields with rock piles and then talk to the farmer. He'll be glad you want them. Only problem is you may need to wait until fall after the crops are off.

    Stanley cup playoffs

Yep...Preds D got a little sloppy and it cost them. One of the things they say is "A team has to loose the Cup so they can learn how to win it." The Preds will be back hungry and smarter. Wow what a hockey town! The wife and I are planning to go there next winter to watch hockey and listen...

    Stanley cup playoffs

I was hoping that Nashville could finish the Cinderella run but I'm happy for Rowney and Cullen. I'm thinking Carter will bring the Cup back to GF this summer. Pittsburgh is a group of good people. Hats off to them they deserve it. One of my good friends is tight with Matt Cullen and I have...

    Bismarck water treatment plant

I think they were taking lessons from the Corps and just didn't see the increased demand for lawn watering coming, failed to increase production, towers got sucked dry..... and que BS excuses. I would hope the production capacity is there after all that work and this is a one-time issue. But...

    Need Rain!!

My bet is that the wet cycle is ending. Who remembers the drought of the 1980s? Despite the governments best effort to screw it up, the farm economy is typically healed by mother nature. I sure hope it's not, but a good midwestern drought could be on the horizon.

There was a white Chevy pulling a bunk trailer that had a NDA sticker on their window at misty last week Monday when I was there. I bet that's who it was.
