    I am the worm king!!

Bait fridge is a good idea. We have a mini fridge at work that we no longer use. I should borrow it...

    From the Smoker!!!!

I've had very poor luck getting all the tendons out of a pheasant leg using the pull-the-foot method. Yes, you get some of the bigger ones, but by my count there are approximately 357 other smaller tendons left behind. The only reason I know this is because my wife could find a fathead pin bone...

    I am the worm king!!

Wish I had pix, but we were having too much fun. Before dropping the kiddos off this morning, No. 1 son grabbed a bucket and his 3.5-year-old enthusiasm to pick as many night crawlers as he could. We wound up with about $50 worth, which I'd like to keep at length. Right now they're in some dirt...

I think Trump is actually a genius when it comes to national security. Be such a loud mouth, arrogant, hothead and continually spew forth whatever sound bites you feel like, KNOWING with 100 percent certainty that the entire world will be hanging on to every syllable for that "did you hear what...

    Fishing line suggestions

Back in high school when baitcasters were the only surefire way to catch largemouth bass, I was told to put on heavier line in order to avoid backlash. I can't honestly tell you if it worked. I still suck at baitcasters.

    Keeping Female Walleyes

I like what gonefshn said about the once-a-year guy versus the every weekend angler. If I went up there right now and brought home a limit of walleyes, I can guarantee you it would likely be the only one of the year. Because I never go to DL (which is a crying shame, but I just don't have the...

    Wild asparagus

I really want to pickle some this year. Hopefully a few more warm weather days will get them going. I usually gauge it by the height of our rhubarb in the yard. When that gets 6-12 inches tall, I can find asparagus elsewhere.

How are you supposed to eat the roe if you throw them back? Makes no sense to me.

Unfortunately, I believe I'm what many would refer to as a millennial. Which isn't fair, as I believe I was right on the forefront of that generation and do NOT associate with them. I grew up at the beginning of the Internet. I remember when we switched from Apple computers with green screens...

    Boat cleaner

Will a vinegar/water solution also take care of iron deposits? I was bequeathed my grandfather's boat, which spent a lot of time simply floating in an iron-stained lake in northern Minnesota. It has a pretty good rim of red where the water line is. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to scrub...

The only takeaway from this thread, for me, is that I should have been born a decade earlier. Pretty bummed I didn't get to witness the bra-less fad in high school. But super low cut spaghetti strap tank tops were a thing. So we had that going for us. Which was nice. I think the girls wore...

    Ticks are back!!!

Dog got one two weeks ago. Wife found it this weekend. It was stone dead and partially full of blood. Dogs haven't been on tick meds since November. Anyone know why that happened? I've found dead ticks after they've been on tick meds for awhile, but never months removed.
