    Ideal potato storage is a dark, perforated container (any light will get them turning green quick), and 35-40 degrees. Similar with onions. But leave em in the garage to dry until the stalks turn brown and the skins get tight. Then bring them in the house and store in dry darkness, 35-40 degrees.
