    NEW Ice Fishing JIGS ??

Haven't seen or used one of those, but one similar. Sebile Vibrato, like a blade bait but better. Fun lure to fish! Not always on, but when it is it can be great!

Ammo shortage is going to last a long time

Maybe the guys with closets full of ammo can stop buying/hoarding so the folks who don't have any can have a better chance at getting some? I know guys still scavenging ever box they can find, even though they have a closet full.

    NEW Ice Fishing JIGS ??

Chubby Darters have been solid for me. Blue/Chrome has been the best. One day several years ago on the Oahe stateline, I plucked fish after fish out. Jigging raps caught a few, but that day the CD's kicked butt. Fish would rise WAY up, 15' or more, and come get them. Really fun day of...

    NEW Ice Fishing JIGS ??

Can't go wrong with the Jigging Rap's. #5's and 7's for ice, maybe a #9 if you are big fish hunting. I actually think the old Nilsmaster Jigger's are better in an ice situation. No even sure if you can get them anymore. I have not used the Shiver Minnows under the ice, like them in open...

    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My stuff was all nearly done. Yanked it all out yesterday. Hard freeze coming early this week along with possibly a dusting of snow. Let fall begin, from 98 degrees to snow in 3 days!

This is what happens when you drink and drive .............. a combine

A Busch Light or two at the end of a harvest day is nearly mandatory. However, this guy took it a little further. Painfully expensive with that S670. I can see it happening though, running at road speed, getting a little wiggle, then over correcting without slowing down at all. We had custom...

    yellowing headlight cover~

Agree with the above. Follow the directions and they work well. But you have to do it every year once you start.

    Kicker advice?

I do use my electric this way and like it most of the time. However, when it comes to real boat control, the tiller is by far superior. Not easier, certainly more work, but way better. if you have to tight countour troll leadcore for example, the tiller wins hands down. You can turn quick...

    Kicker advice?

One other thing to note is that you can get a Tohatsu or Nissan for a lot less money in some cases. Tohatsu motors are just rebranded to others, including Mercury. The 8hp Nissan I had on my first boat was identical to the 9.9 Pro Kicker. And honestly the internals look pretty much the same...

    Kicker advice?

I'm going to be the black sheep here. Agree on a 9.9, Zuke or Yamaha. However, after going from a tiller steer to console, I prefer the tiller. Tiller advantage is instant throttle control and steering. All you do is twist the throttle and you can turn lock to lock in a second. You can...

    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomatoes are turning quick with the heat. Guessing I'm over 1/2 done. Peppers are loving the heat too. All my salad greens however are not! Onions never really made it back from the hail. Carrots were monsters. I'd say in 2 weeks I'll be done for the year.

    Trail Cam Pics

Been sorting through trail camera pics on this hot day. I've got lots of different pictures of this deer, the first is 2017 and second is 2019. I am 100% confident it's the same deer as the left side has some funky stuff going on that is the same on all the pictures. Never got him on camera...

    For you weather geeks: China

That is an incredible amount of water in an incredibly flood prone area. Sounds like the water coming now will be significantly more than I believe in 1998, a bad flood year. The weather is just incredible around the globe this year!

    Sharp-tails/ MT

I have not hunted there, but in my travels I have seen grouse. It's as good of looking sharpie country as anywhere, I'd say go and see what you find.

    Waterfowl season 2020

So this is really cool to see. Maybe creepy too. I highly doubt it would work for a hunting season, but how about tracking the ND waterfowl season "prime times", or the SD pheasant opener. Granted license data could get you similar info, but not the exact time of trip in some cases depending...

What’s going on at Ft Peck?

26 miles of rough country, lots of steep hills that just get terribly washboarded. And a county that is sparse and not really too interested in the upkeep it seems. Nor is the state, the whole debacle of Hell Creek, the marine there, permits, etc. has been a big mess. Just don't seem to see...

What’s going on at Ft Peck?

While I'd agree it is somewhat cyclical, Peck has a long reputation of kicking out big fish. Back in the days of the PWT that is where the biggest weights came from until Erie really turned on. They were running from Ft. Peck wayyyy west, could barely make it to Hell Creek for fuel each...

    Waterfowl season 2020

I agree, there is certainly some pressure in Canada but I would not say it is enough to really move the birds. Very little local pressure though, so the birds will be quite content. However, I still think its a daylight thing for a lot of species and weather will ultimately push them when the...

    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blossom end rot on tomatoes? Too much water early? Too much water period? My early setters have end rot. My watering isn't great, lawn sprinklers catch them. Any thoughts?
