9 world record catch and release records

Yikes! You guys are a bunch a tough bastages. I give her at least credit for going out and trying. So she found an obscure way to get her name in the books? Big deal. Like none of you ever unplugged Dig-Dug at the arcade, then plugged it back in so you could get the high score...

    Movie shoot in North Dakota

This looks like a good show. A friend of mine is in another movie shot in ND recently. Sanctified. Another western. Looks very good.

    Electric Garage Door Opener Recommendations

I replaced a 3/4HP on my 16x7 steel insulated door last summer. Went with Chamberlain. The phone control thing is pretty cool. I can check to see how long it's been open or closed, or if it IS open or closed, with my phone. I can also open or close it with my phone. The few extra dollars in...

    Thin walleye

If I was a walleye, I'd still be milking. As much as I possibly could. Several times per day.

    Tinnitus

I have had horrid hearing since I was a kid. My dad had the same problems. I'd get inner ear infections, and the pressure would build until the ear drum would burst. The relief of the pressure was wonderful. The blood coming out of the ear wasn't. I'm 51 years old. 14 years ago I had a...

    Magnet Fishing

I'm glad that we (born and raised North Dakotans) didn't come off like idiots. Sure could have gone either way. I assume that these two guys asked these nice women, if it would be okay to put them on public display, before they uploaded this video. I'm not 100% sure (in this day and age)...

    World Murder Statistics

Looking down the list, until you get to South Africa, and then again at Brazil, a lot of those worst countries are located in hot climates. I think, there's your x-factor. I too am generally uncomfy, and murderous, when I'm hot.

    Greatest Beer Run

Ahh, one of the two above stories really happened. I loved Smokey and the Bandit, but Chickie Donahue's story has to go down in history as the greatest beer run ever. Watch the video. Wow.

    Mass shootings...

Huh?! Useful discussion in a polite, meaningful, adult manner. From us - in this forum? Bravo! We're doing good here today. Back to my comment about not wanting to be the judge. I guess I wasn't talking about our local or federal judges. I was talking about God, as our ultimate judge...

    Mass shootings...

Years ago, I "took the cure". I knew I had an addiction problem with alcohol, and it was up to me to fix it. I tried by myself several times, but just didn't have the willpower. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I thought long and hard though about seeking professional help, simply because I...

    Mass shootings...

I don't think I could agree more Don. People have a new avenue, to achieve their 15 seconds of fame. This, and now we hear about bad news on the other side of the world, instantly. Used to be that we didn't have the evils of the world beamed into our living rooms (or even phones) 24/7. - - -...

    concussion

Scary. I'm glad most of the injuries I'm causing these days, are dental in nature, and performed on walleyes. Two years ago, my then-ten-year-old daughter crashed her BMX bike in a non-important race heat. She was mid-way down the track, and the bike went sideways as she went up the face of a...

    Hi all

Thank you for your service! Welcome to the show! It helps to be in the shit-business. You take a little shit, give a little shit, sometimes eat a shit-sammich. All good though, if one doesn't get their knickers in a knot.

    Mn Fishing Opener

I mis-spoke. You are right. Used to be that the river was open, up to the first vehicular crossing. But beyond that crossing, there was a season. I remember fishing Apple Creek, under the bridge below University of Mary Hill. There was a low-head dam there. You could fish the down-stream...

    Mn Fishing Opener

I am SO SO SO SO glad that we (here in ND) no longer have a season on the MO. I recall when we did, but now it would suck. I'm just about to 80 fish this spring already, from shore, and I'd have missed them all if I hadn't been able to fish these past two months. There's been a few bigs too.
