Wet opener---who is taking the rain on?

I've never had a malfunction or fail-to-feed with my M2. That thing eats any garbage round you can finagle.

Wet opener---who is taking the rain on?

M2s all around!! Just wish I had splurged for the camo dipped finish. The matte barrel sucks Hillary balls. Not as bad as an 870 Express matte barrel, but close.

    Your roots

First generation! Otherwise we're many gens back in 'Sota land. I hope to be the first of many Duckslayers in this fine state.

Wet opener---who is taking the rain on?

We hunted Saturday and Sunday. Limits Saturday plus some bonus BWT, then a bit harder hunting Sunday because our scouting efforts were lacking. Still came home with 15 for three guys, which is nothing to sneeze at. God I love slough hunting.

The fever is starting to grow

I'm seriously jacked for duck hunting to kick off. My kiddo has been jabbering on and on about wanting to come with, and I can't wait to make that happen. Hopefully will get out and scout Wednesday evening for a bit to make sure our opener spot is good to go. I do hope the rain holds off...

    Big Ag News: Monstanto/Bayer Merge

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/bayer-monsanto-tie-up-not-good-news-for-anyone-who-eats-or-grows-food-2016-05-24 This dives into it with a bit more detail. Sounds like the merger isn't a done deal and has a chance of not being allowed, but you know what they say about money talking... Other...

    Big Ag News: Monstanto/Bayer Merge

Exactly my thoughts. Usually, companies get away with it if they're into separate things and want to expand their market reach. But Bayer and Monsanto basically do the same things (granted, Bayer does a LOT more than just ag). They've swallowed up a huge chunk of market real estate.

    Big Ag News: Monstanto/Bayer Merge

Paging GST et. al.! Honestly curious what your thoughts are on this. Can't believe it would be considered good news. So if commodity prices stay in the tank through this year and next, and input prices remain high, does that mean we're going to see "For Sale? signs at farms across Nodak? If...

    Fargo DU Banquet: Anyone going?

Sweet. I just got the first bulletpoint for the NDWA Business Plan's executive summary. Keep 'em coming! If everyone puts in their 2 cents, maybe we can make something nearly everyone will support.

    Fargo DU Banquet: Anyone going?

See, I have a feeling there are a lot of guys like you. Which makes me seriously think that the North Dakota Waterfowl Association concept has a shot.

    Fargo DU Banquet: Anyone going?

I would agree with you, especially after working for one such org firsthand. However, PF is a big exception. They are basically "Local" when it comes to fundraising. 100 percent of what is raised at a banquet stays for local projects. No other org that I know of can say that. So you'd back a...

    Fargo DU Banquet: Anyone going?

Dead honest question: What would make a GOOD nonprofit hunting/conservation organization? In your eyes? In that same breath, do you view PF higher than DU or DWF?

    Fargo DU Banquet: Anyone going?

SHHHH! Keep that shit down. Do you want to awaken the GST?? You just used "DU," "Land Grab," "Corporation" and "AG" all in the same post. That's the equivalent of saying "Candyman" three times in the mirror. This thread is F'd.

    Fargo DU Banquet: Anyone going?

True. Except I feel the same about Delta Waterfowl as you guys do DU. But I really love duck hunting. Hmmm. I have an idea: Anyone want to help me start the North Dakota Waterfowl Association?!

    a puzzling sight

No solemn bible givers at UND. I just remember the brimstone and fire Baptists behind the Union, screaming that we were all going to hell.

    Teddy Roosevelt Elk Volunteers

Good buddy of mine did. Said they were forced to use copper bullets (it was during the lead scare). They must not have gotten those Barnes I hear rave reviews of, because they were triple tapping almost everything they shot. He said it was a helluva fun time, though.

    Fargo DU Banquet: Anyone going?

If guys are really hung up on DU (which, hey, I can see why) the PF banquet is next week on the 22nd! Same place, pretty sure about the same time. So pick your poison.
