    The modern semi-auto shotguns are nothing short of awesome, whether they are inertia-driven or gas. I shoot a Benelli M2 and the son has a Berreta. We use them for sporting clays in the summer and hunting in the fall, it's amazing at how many rounds we put through them without problems.

    I would call the local fire department. They likely have experience with this and can help put it out before it gets too large. I know over in NC they have large problems with these kinds of smoldering fires during drought years.

    I am going to hazard a guess that somewhere in the rules it states something about not breaking the law. Highway 281, even if under water, is a U.S. Highway. Private citizens are not allowed to modify a U.S. Highway.

    Hunter vs fisherman harassment

    I suspect this was the lake and that the hunters were over on the eastern shore. The main part of the lake is about 2,100 yards wide and around 550-600 from the north to the south shore. If I assume correctly, the hunters would have been 500-600 yards from the nearest housing.

    If you go to the youtube page for that video, the fisherman claims he was 1,000 ft away from the hunters. I, not knowing the distance, originally thought the angler was in the wrong, now I am not so sure.
