    All the 18' glass tillers seem like they would be way under powered with ratings of 75-90. I think i would be looking for a used warrior when they were rated for 140.

    Haha i think thats basically correct. Mercury couldn't get their shit together before the Verado and basically had to purchase Yamaha engines and paint them black. Once the Verado came out i think any partnerships ended.

    I think they worked together early on in the development of 4-strokes. Not sure they have done anything together in a long time. Either way, they definitely aren't the same.

    I think the shavers are just overall smoother and faster cutting while actually spinning slower than the chippers and therefore throw no ice.

    No, but with your ingenuity you can figure out a way to attached the Eskimo flighting to a Strikemaster power head. There is at least one guide on Winnipeg that runs this combo. Strikemaster has the best engines, Eskimo has the best blades, jiffy belongs in the trash heap.

    Unless that guy has 1oz jigs on, his lines are probably swung up to the bottom of the ice. I can't believe the ice isn't all chunked up there.
