No kidding...with this snow and the 40mph winds tomorrow, most gravel roads getting to the lake access points gonna be blown shut for a while...sucks.

Shappell Flip Over - Lost Brace Bar

Ya...this morning I just "modified" an old broom handle...will work just fine until Shappell gets the actual brace bars back in stock!

Shappell Flip Over - Lost Brace Bar

Hoping I hear back from Shappell but may have to rig something up, otherwise I won't be heading out when she gets butt cold!

Shappell Flip Over - Lost Brace Bar

Yesterday I discovered that I lost the back brace bar for my Shappell FX150 flip over. Went to Shappell's website...they are out of stock on those replacement bars right now. Anyone know where a guy can find Shappell ice house parts? Oh...if anyone finds a 52inch aluminum brace bar at the Turtle...

Sure you guys are right DM...I can only speak on what I experienced myself. I'm sure most boat manufacturers state what they can get their test guys to squeeze out performance wise as Ahab stated above. I assumed if my buddy's 1875 hit 42mph with a 115hp motor, that to think a 150hp motor could...

Rode in buddy's 2015 1875 last summer on Sak...he's got a 115hp on it...2 of us with a full tank of gas his GPS had us at 42mph.

Gotcha...think the changes to the Impact line in 2018...2 inches wider...2 inches longer, for me anyway, will be a very nice step up from what I'm running now. I'm sticking with aluminum...have looked at G3, Crestliner, Tracker, Alumacraft, and Lund. For fit/finish/price, the Impact is the best...

    Getting back into ice fishing

Picked up the SM 40V Lithium this year...aside from fouling the blades 2nd time out...love it! Not much lighter tho than most gas augers...but cuts like butter...with sharp blades!

^701...so you are not happy with your 1775? Just curious what year it is and what motor you got on it? Moving up from a 16ft 75hp to an almost 19ft 150hp boat seems like a nice step up to me?

Short...you still have your Alumacraft Trophy? After riding in a buddy's Impact last summer, decided I didn't want the large gunnels like the Trophy and the Targa have. Seems like you get more functional space the way the Impact is set up? I dunno, just really liked the way the Impact was set...

^This...I'll be upgrading this year as well. Planning to go with a Lund 1875 Impact...sticking with tin. Started researching them end of last summer. Noticed that with Lund at least, the 2019s started hitting the dealers in July/August. At that point the 2018s started dropping in price. Planning...

    Ice Auger

Like mine as well so far Rusty...although yesterday on Audubon I fouled the blades on the 3rd hole...had to put some weight on her to get thru the remaining holes. When I got home and pulled the blades off, it was just the outside edge that was nicked...gotta be careful where you drill!
