    Hey sig...I sold my gas auger last week...have decided to go with the Strikemaster 40V Lithium...8 inch. Looked at the Ion X but comparisons head to head showed the Strikemaster cut faster and held a charge longer. Planning to pick one up Monday...maybe find some ice up north by next weekend to...

    Who's ready for ice fishing

    Looking at the next 10 days, the warmest overnight low is 24...but several nights forecasted to be in the single digits. The next 5 days in Garrison the highs are 21, 18, 27, 24, and 17. Would think she'll be making some ice for sure.

    ^ I've had zero issues with mine as well Sum...only 2 seasons. I've never cut more than 15 holes in a day tho...so trying to sell the gas-will buy electric if I do. But the Eskimo has been bullet proof for me so far... Sold my Eskimo...gonna pick up the 8 inch Strikemaster Lithium 40v this weekend.

    Currently have a 2016 Eskimo Stingray...33cc...8 inch. Cut through the thick stuff last year with zero issues...chipper blades were great.

    According to the extended forecast, it's that sad time of the year...when the open water season is ending and it will be weeks before we can safely drill holes in the ice...hate this time of year! Plus I don't hunt to pass this in between time!
