    I can barely tolerate to watch most shows anymore. The blatant marketing makes me want to puke. There are very few fishing shows that offer anything to improve the skills of or educate the audience. It's all about, "You need to buy this or you won't catch a single fish."

    Been married 20 years. I hate to travel. Wife has been on me to take a trip winter since day one. I get zero enjoyment from sitting on a lawn chair by at pool/beach/lake drinking. If I'm going to pay $4000, it's going to go DO SOMETHING, not sit on my ass and waste several days of my life...

    Ice Fishing Shovel

    Aluminum grain shovel is the way to go. Works for digging in the ice shack and also if you get your truck stuck. They are cheap, strong, very light and fit in most sleds. And you can move a lot of snow with one if need be.

    I think these will be a mandatory purchase for all our vehicles in the future. Just think about the increased value when you sell your truck, your seats will look like new and the damn things will pay for themselves....that's what I told my wife to justify buying them!

    Thanks for the feedback. Will look at the Laverne ones closely. I think I'll go with the stainless and if/when they start to look ruff I'll sand them down and hit them with bed liner.
