Who went fishing in the slop saturday?

There are a few largemouth bass swimming around Nelson lake, with sore lips.

    Let the buyer beware. NOT

Amen brother. I guess I have some friends who are realtors, and I don't necessarily have a problem with using a realtor, but you surely can save a bundle, by doing it yourself. We last moved, about 8 yrs ago, in Bismarck. Sold the old house without even listing it. Found the new one on...

    PP Handgun- Need some advice

The XD Mod 2 is a great Springfield, with a double stack. Plenty-o-rounds, and not a big print. It's nearly identical to the XDS, but a tish thicker, and holds more. I've enjoyed shooting mine quite a bit. Also, the G19 is a great workhorse.

    Build a root cellar?

My in-laws have one on the farm, made of dirt (with a concrete floor). It's only lasted about 40 years so far. Another 15, and my father-in-law sure won't care. The basement under their house was dirt too, for a long time. Eventually, about 8 or 10 years ago, they built a wood basement...

    Gee Loomis...

I coveted a Loomis for many years, but couldn't get myself to pull the trigger. About 6 years ago, my wife asked me what I'd like for our Anniversary. We actually went shopping together. She bought me an IMX Loomis. It's been my favorite rod ever since. In reality, I have probably caught...

    No Drink January

Yes. I have nearly (not quite) forgotten what a hangover feels like. And while I don't like 4 hour nights, I can make do. I perk up a LOT more quickly in the morning too, when I have slept well. I sleep like the dead now. I go until I sit down, then it's lights out. I bet most nights I'm...

And then you gotta drop everything to rescue your wife, who has her hand stuck under her passenger seat..

    Bismarck Traffic Lights News Story

I have lived in South Bismarck since 1980. I remember when Expressway stopped at Washington, and there was no Expressway bridge. Granted, that was before I drove anything other than a BMX bike. I can count on one foot, the number of times I hit a green trying to turn from Expy south, onto...

    No Drink January

The hyperness is short-term. I slept like crap at first. Night-sweats, and the whole 9. Then, felt like I was going to squirm out of my skin. If these "symptoms" don't make you think twice about crawling back in the bottle, I dunno.. It's different for every person though. I don't mean to...

    Devils lake fishing tournament

It's been my personal experience that my chances of actually catching a fish are zero anyhow. At least in the winter. Summer is an entirely different deal..

    Confidence Crank

I think of it, as similar to a woman with 100's of pairs of shoes. Obviously not as bad as the shoes, but equally impulsive. For years, my crank inventory was about the same. I'd lose a few, buy a few. In the past few years, I've bought more, and apparently gone to better line. I lose...

    New 2020

Haha. You're not wrong. Golf might as well be discussed, for as much hunting talk there is on this site (North Dakota ANGLER). Just kiddin' fellas. I don't partake in the foosball discussions either.

    Confidence Crank

The story was true. I used a bit of literary license, but it really happened. Shadrap65 and I had to sit and watch him catch about 5 in a row, in Shadrap65's boat. In the tailrace. It'd be quiet, then he'd say "well.. I suppose.." and boom. I actually watched him, for real. No rod bend...

    Confidence Crank

This is a #7, but you get the idea. Truthfully, the lure is fine. It's the audacity with which he wields it, that gives his fellow fisherman palpitations. At quiet times, when nobody has said a word for a while, he'll pipe up "I suppose it's about time for me to ca... WHOA BOYS, there's...

    Confidence Crank

That's "yank", not "crank".. but, to each their own.. - - - Updated - - - I see right through you. You're like an open book. Don't let him fool you guys, his number one go-to lure is a #11 original floater, in the most ghetto color you can imagine. It's so bad, Rapala has discontinued it...

    Confidence Crank

I still say "Shameless Plug" is the best lure name ever. I also firmly believe that a guys confidence crank catches the most fish, because it is used the most. If a guy cared enough to keep track, it'll be the one that caught that big 'un once, back last year, and it sees the most time in...

    Snow Joe?

If you live in Bismarck, you are more than welcome to try mine next leaf-season. I'm going to say you'll be disappointed though. Unless the leaves are bone dry, and small, it won't work. It would go through a heckuva pile of curled up birch leaves, if dry though.

    Snow Joe?

I have one of these too. Was given to me, by a guy moving into assisted living. Nice gift - kinda glad it was free. It's a novelty, at best. I keep the battery inside where it's warm. I don't really have an issue with the battery, but the unit itself is plenty heavy, and while it DOES...
