    Ticks are back!!!

Spraying my pant legs with insect repellant seems to help.

    Shop construction

Either I didn't read all the answers close enough or it hasn't been mentioned. The type of building in my opinion should also be based on location. If you are in a residential area and it's going up close to your house it's my belief that the structure should match the house. Doesn't have to...

    Spinning Reels

Don't have a reason other than that's the way I've always done it. I'm left-handed, cast with right, reel with left. Unless it's with a line-counter reel than I reel with right. If my arm gets too sore casting with right I generally figure it's time to sit down and have a beer and take a break.

    Masters

That is also true although he had at least one surgery prior to his wife taking a 9-iron after him. That might not have done him any good either.

    Masters

He's trying to make a comeback but your back is so important in golf. Injuries that he has had severely impact his chances of ever being what he was at one time.

What Type of Gravel to Use for a RV Pad???

Pea-rock is hard to walk on but no mud. Recycled asphalt is better than rock in my opinion. Have never used crushed concrete so can't give an opinion about that but the other ideas about it make sense to me. Gravel is good if it has enough clay to pack really firm. As with all of them it's a...

    Masters

I agree, the eras were different. Both Tiger and Jack, and then throw in Arnold, had a great influence on golf. Which was the best, it's between Tiger and Jack for me but Arnold has to be the all time fan favorite. He was so approachable. Didn't have a great swing but always gave it his all and...

    Masters

Is there a prettier or more scenic golf course, at least on TV, than Augusta during the Masters?

    thunder chicken

My experience with turkeys is when you think you have them pinned down, they will thumb their nose at you and go the other way. Then some days they will do exactly what you hoped. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that you cannot entice a turkey into an area they don't want to go. Learn the areas...

    Sick Kid Blues...

Of course you will most likely have to deal with an unhappy mother when you get home. Pick your poison.

    Sick Kid Blues...

This is certainly an option, especially if the weather stays warm and sunny.

    Sick Kid Blues...

Be happy your children are on the mend. Consider the alternative, you could be sitting with a child who's chances of survival are not good. Not pleasant taking care of a sick sick but there are more important things than working or fishing as everyone on here knows full well.

    Van Hook braces for drilling

WTH. Where are the water protectors? Where have they been all these years of drilling that close to the water? More evidence that it was never about protecting the water. The locals that spoke are correct. Yes, the Bakken has created a lot of problems, it has also created a lot of opportunity...

    North and South Dakota

Isn't this nice. A comparison between 2 states that has remained pretty civil and hardly a negative comment. Most are pointing out the good points of each state instead of running each other down. I like discussions like this.

    Fencing recommendations

Before you go buy a bunch of wood I'd look at some composites. Some of them are pretty nice and when done, no or minimal maintenance. Wood can look nice but to keep the look you will need to paint or stain often. Most stains are recommended to be reapplied every 5 or less years. Some enjoy...

    Cheap fishin

I've been buying outdoor stuff for many years. Grew up fishing with pretty much Daredevils for pike and Lazy Ike's for walleye. Still have some but they haven't been wet in awhile. I do like quality equipment but don't need the best. I have a pretty good pair of binoculars, thought they were...

lost a hunting buddy and sidekick this week

Agree with what everyone else said. I didn't even know your dog and I feel bad. Understand what you are feeling as everyone who has ever hunted with a dog knows the loss when it happens. My condolences.

    Licensing

I always print one out but then I take a picture of the license on my phone. Don't need to worry about whether I have my license as I can show it on my phone. The license picture takes care of the few times where I don't have good coverage and can't bring it up from the NDGF website. Either that...
