    Bill proposed for Crossbow Hunting

Bill Helphrey has been the lobbyist or spokesperson for the Bow Hunters Association much too long. Old codger needs to go. He's against everything. What ever they're paying him is WAY too much.

    Bakken Oilfield poll

From GST Desert News story: That reminds me of a story. A few guys took a pack string up the mountain on switchbacks. The guy telling the story said he was mid to further back when all of sudden panicked horses mules and gear were coming down the mountain at him. He reached into the scabbard...

Whoa, I didn't realize it was right next to a paved highway on two sides. Thanks Dean. Only place left to comfortably hunt would be the back 40.

I live in coal country. Back in the 70's and early 80's we experienced the influx/impact. In the papers everyday. Today it is peaceful with everyone working and raising their families.

Hunting land for sale $376 dollars per acre

Yep, the auction bill says the old farmstead has good access to a camper or motor home. If a guy dug in some poles to build a roof over your camper for shade, you're probably going to get a visit from USFWS. I don't suppose anything permanent can be afixed to the land.

    Bakken Oilfield poll

I misspoke. It was a formula or percentage that would have equaled $15 million because of high oil prices at the time or inception of the Bill. Lower oil prices cut that $15 million figure to what I don't know. People like their services. Don't believe me, try to cut some.

I believe Wags is right because not every quarter is 160 minus section line rights of way and roads.

    Bakken Oilfield poll

PG, I'll give you an example. The proponents of Measure 5, (the oil revenue rip off) petitioned for 5% of the oil revenues to be diverted away from the General Treasury into their coffers. The Gov's office panicked that the proponents may get $100 million so the Gov's office compromised by...

GOP House Moves Against Public Lands on Its Opening Day

Vollmer's story came from Field and Stream. Rep. Raul Grijalva (D–N.M) remarks came from the Washington Post. Every paper is trying to be first to scoop the story. In a hurry to meet deadlines they go back to their old contacts. ..............Land Tawney. Kurtr, Land Tawney created Backcountry...

    Trespass Bill

When a young man begins farming he understands wildlife crisscrossing his property and eating some his profits is all part of doing business.... To a point.... It's all about tolerance. Last year we took a picture of a moose in the yard. One moose cool, one hundred moose standing on the hay pile...

    Trespass Bill

PG wrote, I'm torn. Why don't you come to the Capitol and testify? The Hearing should be with the Natural Resources Committee. You will need to convince them. I'll watch. If you can dazzle them with your bullshit and win it, I'll buy steak supper and drinks.

    Trespass Bill

PG wrote, The people are writing this Bill. They are going to testify on this Bill. The politicians weigh those testimonies and then give the people the laws they demand. I cannot follow your lead PG and hate/fault the politicians.

    Trespass Bill

This is what I have been talking about. If you as a sportsmen go to testify at the sub committee hearing, do "not" repeat PG's line: "Trespass Bills are aimed at hunters." .......That's divisive. Sportsmen should present their case, but not turn it into us sportsmen against everyone else...

    Trespass Bill

You called me a total asshole. I'm laughing my butt off right now. I should have been more clear. Legislators like facts and people testifying who speak from the heart. Raw emotion. Life's experiences. A friend with the police worked the protest for months and they're sick of the trespassing...
