    I do not like spring bobbers, I do like rods with tips as sensitive as a spring bobber though. The problem is that cheap spring bobber tip rods also have a weak backbone. To get the light tip and a decent backbone costs more money.

    Thats the same sharpener i have wags! I constantly sharpen hooks especially while pitching jigs. That sharpener wags also works for sharpening serrated blades.

    It took me 2 hours to clean the 40 saturday night. It takes several beers to get them done but seeing a heaping bowl of perfectly cleaned jumbo perch brings a ray of sunshine from heaven directly into my heart.

    The problem is for jigging deep 40 fow plus, u will miss out lots of bites that require a no stretch line to see. Im not talking feel im talking being able to see the rod tip barely move.

    I use crystal fireline on jigging rods and fluorocarbon for my crappie bobber rods. I had issues with nanofil fishing outside. When cleaning the ice off the line i eventually wear right through the line.

    The only reason nanofil is good is for super long casts with light lures. There is no casting in the winter... Just sayin haha.

    Perch are easy to clean. No different then cleaning a walleye. Only difference is they taste much better.
