    BDC Scopes

No need for the bdc. If I remember correctly. The standard crosshairs can be used to figure out distance as a mill dot scope. Check out your paperwork that came with the scope and should explain it all. If that isn't enough than welcome to the world of long range shooting!

    Sun glasses

I dont know if I would consider what I had was "night driving glasses" but I did have some sunglasses that had amber lenses and the did make things a lot brighter in low light conditions. Not so great on sunny days though - - - Updated - - - I have costas now. Tried both glass and poly for...

    frontal shots

With a record like that your friend should have no problem. Modern equipment just made it easier of a shot. He could do it in his sleep:cool:. Heres a video on an elk frontal. Same concept but smaller. https://youtu.be/OD9OHhushbw Check this pic out. (Pic won't load but heres the link)...

    frontal shots

It's all about well placed arrow with enough ft/lbs to get penatration. Shot a deer in the hind quarter (I'd rather not talk about that) but ran in a circle for about 60 yards and died within 20 of my stand. I hit the main artery. I would never recomend shooting for arteries but a spot the size...

    Badlands mule deer

I also think that tv and social media have taken a toll on expectations. I have been watching a series on YouTube call land of the free by both and raised outdoors and destination elk by elk 101. They are elk hunting not mule deer but they shoot mature bulls. My only other reference for elk...

    Badlands mule deer

All of the above. I think biggest factor is habitat and pressure from human activity. Here is a site with the amount of public land. https://www.summitpost.org/public-and-private-land-percentages-by-us-states/186111

    New pet — small dog

I've always wanted a beagle. Rabbit hunting fools. My dad had a miniature schnauzer. He's had alot of dogs and was even trained as a k9 handler. He said one of the best dogs he ever had. Smart and well behaved. Absolutely awesome with kids

    frontal shots

<20 frontal with a bow all depends on how good of shot and confident you are. If your a tack driving machine who practices an hour a day you wouldn't think twice about it. If you pick you bow up once a year to see if the pins are still on no way you should ethically take that shot. Good luck...

    Carrying a gun in vehicle...

I own a benelli and you can have one in mag and one in "no man's land". Asked the game warden if this was considered in the chamber. The answer was technically no. Asked if I would be cited. Answer no.
