    Suppressor Questions

Can't you just buy one of those "solvent catcher" deals to get around all the red tape?

    Choosing structure

Happened to me Saturday! And it'll happen to me this weekend. And next weekend. And the weekend after that. And when my buddy finally caves to my pleading to get on the jumbo ND perch which, inexplicably, completely shut down the day I hit the ice with him. And when I shell out a few hundred...

    So i have glasses now....

I guess I wouldn't know. Can't wear contacts. Touching my eyeballs gives me the heebie-jeebies.

    So i have glasses now....

I'm just saying, polarizes prescription is the way to go because it cuts down on the glare and gives you the vision of a peregrine falcon. Plus, if you get that dank mirror finish, you can catch a nip slip on the beach from 100 yards out and your wife won't even see your eyes move! Win-win.

    Choosing structure

E, and here's why: Carefully watch the weather and barometric pressure, (as well as planet alignments and Farmer's Almanac) to assure the day you're fishing is the optimum day to fish. Also pays to check the moon phase, cuz the sumo walters always are on the chomp when the moon is in the first...

    So i have glasses now....

I wear glasses at night and when I'm hunting. For what it's worth, the only outdoor pursuit I found that blows with glasses on is archery hunting. All the rest I've managed. Oh, and do yourself a favor and get polarized prescription shades. ON a calm day in clear waters, you'll be able to...

I have the same gun. Buddy bought it for me before my son was born. I've never had an issue with it and have a few hundred rounds through it. No feed issues regardless of ammo type. I have one mag of self-defense rounds, and have shot a couple boxes through easy peasy. Did you degrease it well...

I mark 'em, but they won't bite

I grew up pretty much exclusively fishing panfish. Spring bobbers solved a lot of my problems. So many times something would come in and hit a traditional bobber but would hardly register. Bet my catch rate improved 10:1. To really dial it it I found hinged sometimes on the smallest details...

    Amazon prime TV

I'm all about the Prime. We got rid of cable years ago and never looked back. Got a digital antenna to cover the local stations, then Prime for movies, shows, etc. We're not a huge TV family, so it works for us. And beats a $100+ cable bill every month for 375 channels we don't watch...

    Need pet help asap

Trust is gone. That's key. A dog can sense a lot of things, and if it knows you're leery around it, game over. He's alpha now, or at least he'll act like it. Remember if/when you get another dog, that no matter what you may think their personality is going to be like, assume they are going to...

    upland belt vests

My wife bought me a WingWorks a couple years ago as a birthday present. Best present I've ever received. All the hubbub is for real. I wear it all day and hate taking it off. Easy to load birds. Convenient water storage. Have a place for all my stuff. Handy cell phone pocket. And damn near...

Walleye a 1/2 lb shy of state record netted in Wisconsin

Ditto. I was intrigued by the weight, but that fish should be WAY fatter at only 32.5 inches long to hit the 17-pound mark. Plus, it looks like he's holding it Corporal-Snook style. A 17 pound fish is going to appear gigantic even if you're bear hugging it.

Craziest Thing I've Seen In a While (char through ice)

They've fished that pond before. Pretty sure it's the same pond they filmed the drone fishing video. It's a tiny pond, too, so I'm assuming those char are stocked? Still, way cool. I'd be all over that.

    R U A traditional or commercial christian?

I had religion beat into me as a child. Not literally, but the constant bible thumping, church-going, religious music listening and overall "God is everything" mentality just burned me out. I once witnessed by father break down because the Christian radio station he was listening to went out...

    Ice Augers

Buddy got a Jiffy propane auger as a present a few years ago. He's not a run-and-gunner, and fishes out of a hub house. He loves it! Never heard any issue with it. And when it's brutally cold, he keeps a spare pound tank in his coat to keep it warm.

Complete novice to darkhouse spearfishing: tips, tricks?

I like to do it shallow enough where you can see the bottom. Weed edges are perfect. Use the decoy just like you would a jig: try different things until you find out what works! It's not rocket surgery, but you'll get the hang of it. Sometimes just a decoy hanging there is enough to get...

Looking for some safe ice, anyone headed out this weekend?

Went out by Detroit Lakes on Sunday. Many of the big lakes either still had some open water or looked like they were barely skimmed. Found a smaller lake with some portables on it and brought my 2-year-old out for the first time. Good six inches at the first break in 13 FOW. Had a great time...
