I graduated high school in 1984, started working FT and bought a 1977, 2WD F150 with about 80k on it. That truck cost $3000. The interest rate on a used vehicle was 18.5%. It was an ugly sky blue color, sure glad they don't paint trucks that color any more, but living in small town ND at the...

    LEWT Tournament Winners BUSTED!

p.s. While overall cheating is cheating. There is something different in my mind about tweaking a tire or carb past the allowed settings to provide an edge when compared to just shoving weights down a fishes minnowhole.

    LEWT Tournament Winners BUSTED!

So there have been a number of people that seem to be quite squeamish on the idea of these guys getting prosecuted, and quite honestly they have good points. Cheating in NASCAR and other sports are clearly an even bigger dollar crime. My thoughts on that are simple. The District Attorney who...

I suspect the car dealers are a LOT more responsive to the market swings. I tested the waters a few years ago (2018'ish) with the idea of trading in my 2009 F250 with about 100k for mileage. Both Eide and Bill Barf offered right around $10k. I laughed and walked out the door. By the time we...

Not surprisingly, in the past week I have received two fliers from Eide Ford and Cedric Theel Toyota on discounts off of MSRP for new vehicles. I think the Ford one was $4,000 and the Toyota one was for $2,000. It's been a few years since we've seen widespread discounting of vehicles off of MSRP.

Yep, apply post #2 to this and you will see a quick drop in the prices of homes on the market. Just because everyone shopping for a house has a set monthly amount they are willing to spend, and interest rates are now going to be eating up a MUCH larger share of that monthly budget. I know a...

    LEWT Tournament Winners BUSTED!

Kind of makes me think they (the cornhole association) set themselves up for this by allowing people to compete with their own bean bags. This is an easy fix.

Making things more expensive is the whole point of raising the interest rates, because you are absolutely right in that it is going to affect purchases going forward of toys that typically need loans. This will put downward pressure on the pricing of all those expensive toys, homes, vehicles...

Crazy Hunter Harassment Duck Hunting In North Dakota (Game Warden Involved!)

Didn't a duck, or two fall over into the corn? Maybe he carried his shotgun going over to pick them up? Just spitballing here, but this one little event where morons met has really captivated the attention of hunters and landowners alike.

You learned how to ride a horse on a 200 mile cattle drive to Belle Fourche? Did you guys get lost a few times?

    Measure 2: Marijuana Legalization

Personally, I think what you are seeing is moderate conservatives being pissed at the far right, which allows voter initiated measures like we have seen in ND a better chance of passing. ND passed medical MJ a few years ago and the dickhead legislature decided they knew best and gutted it to...

    Flatting the curve

Ok, so there is a part of me that really hopes we have someone to give Lunk a run for his money on his poor grammar crown, so I have a question. Personally, I've been around ND outdoor sites for what would be a few more years than you. Nonetheless, relatively early on I found out I either knew...

    Measure 2: Marijuana Legalization

The simple answer to this: If you work in a zero-tolerance environment, you should expect greater compensation because you are not using the stuff. I don't want my pilots or cab drivers stoned, but I'd hazard a guess that I have a better chance of getting a sober chauffer in the air.
