I've never been paddlefishing before, but I don't think it's required they clean your fish, it is? If that's the case they're not really making profit from a "public resource", but trading the roe for cleaning service with the fishermen directly. I would imagine you can keep the fish and take...
That is true. You'll substantially decrease the life of your new battery, and you'll just be buying a couple new ones in a short time anyway.
You're getting an absolutely smoking deal on this trolling motor. Buy the thing, and buy two new trolling motor batteries from Wal-Mart and don't look...
You need to hook the 2 batteries up in "series". Basically one trolling motor cable gets the positive connected to one battery, and the negative to the other battery with a jumper cable connecting the two open posts together.
As for the battery charger you need leads to each battery. Hook...

Very happy with mine and didn't cost a ton either. Don't know why it doesn't like to turn on in the winter, but if I bring it in the garage for a bit and warm it up first there are no issues.
Reel maintenance is crucial, but baitcasters have so many parts I usually send mine in to get cleaned every couple years. Your owners manual should show you all the spots to oil, and you're right, you don't want too much oil or things can get gunked up. Just a drop of oil will do.
I've been happy with Interstate for the cranking battery, but I always make sure I get the XHD series (extra heavy duty). A lot of times you have to order this battery. And get the biggest one you can fit in your compartment.
If I'm in a bad mood I'll just stay there and fish like they're not even there, and probably turn up the stereo.
Most at of the time I'll try just move far enought away to not be bothered, but yet so they can see me catch more fish.
My nickname is from my love of Musky fishing, of course. Even designed my own MuskyManiac logo and used to sell bumper stickers and t-shirts on eBay, but don't do that any more.
Originally got the idea from a rocker turned musky nut named Brian Schram, who is the same person who wrote John...

I always liked the St. Croix rods ad as well:
"It is, of course, just a fishing rod, but to those who wield it with skill, it is nothing short of being a lethal scepter."
I don't have mine hooked to my Lowrance yet, but on the test run this past weekend I did notice the motor was a lot quieter, the steering is super-fast, the the anchor mode is way more accurate (and the jog feature while in anchor mode is just pure awesomeness).
