    Slow-troll a crank right over the tops of the weeds. Keep the rod in your hand and when you feel you're getting into the weeds give it a good rip. That rip will sometimes create a nice reaction bite.

    Saw the other recipe and had to post the one I use as well. The aioli really helps make this dish. They can be cooked on a grill if you make a foil aluminum pan with edges so the oil doesn't run off. Use a mix of olive oil and butter to cook these, and don't be skimpy on the oil. Walleye...

    Walleye Taste vs Northern Pike Taste?

    Taste is the same to me, but I do like the firmness and texture of northern. This is especially true if you're baking the fish or making a foil pack.
