    Anyone snare rabbits?

Ive tried live traps for rabbits during the summer and never had any luck. I think there is just too much food around to entice them into going into a strange trap for a treat. In the winter is a different story tho, especially when there is a lot of snow on the ground... If they are hungry, you...

    Anyone snare rabbits?

This one didnt make any noise that I was aware of. I had a pet rabbit once tho that if you tried to take it out of its cage would scream like the world was ending. It was more of a fertilizer machine than a pet really...

Will they do ok without liquid water? Thats the main issue for me is having to provide water daily... I know my dog loves to eat snow, but not sure if cats are the same.

    Anyone snare rabbits?

Ive thought about an outdoor cat just to help control voles and rabbits but dont really feel like caring for it all winter. Unfortunately there are no 'neighborhood' cats around here to help control varmints. Also like the idea of a pellet gun but this fucker is highly nocturnal because of my...

    Anyone snare rabbits?

Ive got one visiting my back yard again. Found its entry point. Not an expert snaresman but gonna try to get it before my garden starts to disappear. Just put this up this morning but the rabbit mostly visits as night I think. Gonna make the loop a little more secure after watching some youtube...

    Breaking in a new gun

So first you say polishing the bore will 'ruin' the barrel and now you are saying it wont do anything at all?

    Breaking in a new gun

I should mention I suppose that custom barrels I own I just polish lightly with flitz or whatever. Factory barrels tho I will be a little more aggressive with, usually giving them 25-50 strokes of JB and then 50 or so more strokes of flitz...

    Breaking in a new gun

I always polish the bore before shooting. Using some non embedding cleaner, forget the name. Do about 100 passes, changing cloth every 25 with new compound, then a cloth with lube and a dry cloth.

Good News Guys, I'm starting my own conservation group................

If you pull water out of a slew or pond that has white deposits around the outside, trees might not like the high mineral concentrations of that water and it could possibly kill them...

Good News Guys, I'm starting my own conservation group................

If you had someone driving the pickup and someone sitting on the tailgate you could just use a regular hose with a peice of pipe attached to the end, cut it at an angle maybe to make it easier to push in. Not sure if gravity would be enough pressure or if it would be better with a pump and an...

Good News Guys, I'm starting my own conservation group................

Use a pickup and haul a decent amount of water. Also if you dont want it to evaporate quickly, inject it beneath each tree planted, shouldnt be too hard to do. Also this will benefit the trees/bushes by encouraging their roots to grow down instead of staying shallow. Also dont over water, if you...
