    If you insist on staying ND, the Game and Fish website and their stocking reports would be a good place to start researching lakes. You will then have at least some minimal info to decide if they are "Good" or not. I would go MN side, and I did when I lived in Fargo, as they have LOTS of lakes...

    Just a funny story (wild animal encounter)

    Not a tailrace story, but down on the Sheyenne in VC, I had a rather large coon waltz right between my legs while I was standing on the bank casting. Saw him coming from at least 30 yards and wanted to see how close he'd get. Figured that was about as close as you can get without wearing him...

    Whats on the menu tonight?

    Went party hopping last night and had grilled burgers, dogs, brats, pork ribs, and then a pizza. Mixed in the middle was an unknown number of blue num nums. Damn near knocked my air/shrite separator offline. Glad that's over with.

    Yikes!! Glad he made it!! Losing some digits really sucks, but he's alive. WOW!! I don't play around with cold. I make sure I have enough crap on me and in the truck to make it should something go wrong and I always tell mama where I'm going to be. Even when I'm just running the snare line...

    Managed to avoid any man made permanent coloration through 3 continents, 25 countries, 26 years of military service, and one war. There's some fairly stout peer pressure scattered throughout that time frame, but I fought through it and my birthday suit is all original issue.

    Going Gator Giggin'!!! Think Safety Guys. Batteries die quick in 30 below temps. Might want to start the trucks a couple times throughout the day if you're going to be out. I'll be braving the temps every couple hours to make sure the truck starts. Getting stranded with 50 below wind chills...
