    .30-06 & h4350?

Something I see fairly often w/M70's is folks over-tighten the middle screw and flex the action. The middle screw should only be barely snug. What the trigger like on your 30-06? Is the stock bedded? Barrel floated or fully bedded?

    Favorite Reloading Components

Quikload is probably my most valuable reloading component. I can plug in the H2O volume of FF'd brass along w/actual COAL the powder charges and have a very reasonable idea about pressure/velocity for given powder charges. Then correlate that w/actual chrono values. Gives a good idea of what...

Why not shoot a 223 which will run that same 50gn bullet @ ~3300fps with only 26gn of powder?

Hard pass on everything Berger for me. Much prefer the mind-numbing predictability of TSX/TTSX. If I want a higher BC than what the monos offer I'd prefer something with a bonded core like an Acubond/ABLR, or Swift Scirocco. FWIW, I tried the 145gn .284 LRX in a 7Rem and a couple of 7WSM's...

    Kicker mount removal

You could remove the bracket, drill matching holes on the other side and install brake lights and turn signals on the transom so as to be polite to the rest of the boating public. Or, instead of turn signals and brake lights you could install headlights for back trolling.

7mm Rem Mag vs 300 Win Mag

IIRC you're not loading your own. That being the case, 160 Nosler Partition Federal Premium is a very sweet spot for the 7Rem mag. It's an excellent compromise of good bullet performance on game, a high enough BC to work well at extended ranges, 0 issue with any factory rifle twist, good...

Something with motors and at least 4 wheels. Not sure if it'd be drags, dirt, jeeps, rock-crawlers, or ????? More photography. Maybe without other hobbies, maybe I'd develop the patients it requires to be a true craftsman with metal and/or woodworking. Currently I'm in the "Sawzall and...

    South Dakota volunteers needed

Just like TRNP reduction. It’s not a hunt, it’s a cull. It’s a good way to come up w/practical bullet testing media as well as practicing breaking down a critter for packing out. - - - Updated - - - Rather see volunteers used than paying for “sharpshooters”.

7mm Rem Mag vs 300 Win Mag

G-1, I can honestly say I'm not even close to good enough with any rifle for G-1 vs. G-7 BC measurements to make any discernible difference in what I do or how I do it.

    knives

Electric knives work well for chicken/turkey deconstruction as well. I'm a self-admitted knife-snob, but, that doesn't mean I don't also choose the easiest and most convenient tool for the job. #$9newblades And no, I don't use a fuggin' Havalon or any of it's competitors ever for anything.
