    Fishing Piers....

Yeah that's why I like the SS pipsqueak so much. With it if you can get near the lake with a truck you are close enough to launch it.

    Fishing Piers....

Any person who can't get away from ther crowds out east hasn't actually tried. With god knows how many new lakes out there most with no one or next to no one fishing them on any given day. Most guys just like to go back to a spot they know and fish it in a way they know and if it's packed they...

    Closing of Graner Bottoms ramp.

They didn't say just said to make repairs. Anybody use it this spring...any obvious damage?

    Closing of Graner Bottoms ramp.

Will have to see how much we get out of the hills from the storm. Wish the white drained into oahe instead of down stream. Be curious to see what fell on the west side of the hills down to Casper to see if that area will add anything to oahe.

That's because the Cheyenne surge hasn't arrived there yet. I see the moreau has a pretty good pulse coming as well.

New to bow fishing and could use some advice

For that price they better swarm. Just pick up a 50 pound bag of corn and toss out a fair bit in water shallow enough water to see the bottom work some in so close that they end up finning out of the water a bit. Take several good cup fulls and throw it as far as you can to act as a path...

    Fishing Piers....

Yep. Not sure about sak but the corp signs on oahe say nothing about driving out. Only takes a short time before a trail gets used enough that it would qualify as an established trail by ND stanards. I sure they are rule against it since they have rules about everything but enforcing it would be...

New to bow fishing and could use some advice

Yeah I'm a AMS guy and shoot no sights with defletched arrows with the old style three finger glove like was mentioned before. Also if you've never done it just remember the fish are not where they apper to be. You always have to aim a bit low and how much changes with the depth of the fish and...

    Closing of Graner Bottoms ramp.

South oahe? It doesn't matter where the water comes in the lake will go up system wide. Not sure if you have ever tried but it's hard to stack liquid! The grand is definitely going to get a bit of a up tick in flow but wouldn't think to much. The flooding down south will have no effect right now...

    Closing of Graner Bottoms ramp.

Ironically you are completely backwards in this instance. They are dropping releases to try and keep Saks water atleast to stay level during the spawn. So the reasoning behind it is good for us not bad. That said it's not a great thing for oahe but it's sakakaweas turn to be the favored lake...

    Fishing Piers....

You talking the metal ones or the rock jetty type? Most of the metal ones I've seen are in decent ares. There location tends to be more about proximity to parking areas for vehicles. The rock jetty type become their own fish draw so its a fairly decent setup.

    high end meats...

Yeah even that works out to around $70 a pound. Looks like cosco's is no longer on sale! They look good but man that much fat might get over powering. I love fat ribeyes with tons of marbling cooked somewhere between rare and blue but I'm not sure if would like to crazy level fat...

    simrad... hmmmm...

I want a 40 inch curved screen sonar!:;:thumbsup as for needing a second transducer that's the same with many other ones out there. My helix is 360 compatible but it cost a grand or more for the second transducer.

    Bismarck shore fishing

The gun range boat ramp has a couple good holes by it so a decent spot to try. Also if you keep going south past the ramp turnoff in the bottoms and take a right at the tee in the road that will lead you to a decent shore area. This weather won't be doing you any favor it's dropped the temp a...

    Fishing the marinas around Bismarck

Yea you are correct all water everywhere outside of refuges and various restricted areas are open to fishing if you are on the water even if all the land is private and posted. Hell my folks lake is all private but if you parachuted in you would be legal. This is why a helicopter is the ultimate...

    Thanks for the topsoil!

No way that's any kind of plant. Even on the coldest days the big power plants barely show up. That's without question a fire since the plum is the better part of 10 miles long. For perspective here is what the fire in the black hill last week that burned 1,300 acres.

    Fishing the marinas around Bismarck

Yeah like I said not sure on the docks let alone the boat part. Obviously you couldn't drive it off but would be interesting to see if any laws are written for it. You would think there is some kind of vehicle clause in the law some where otherwise people could climb into cars on a public street.
