    Moose were a rarity in ND as were mountain lions at one time. Now, not so much. If the darn thing has legs, the whole world of dry land is possible. We have a black bear down by lisbon. Not what you would call "traditional" habitat for black bears, but trail cam pics are hard to argue with...

    Hiking in the badlands

    Just about anywhere in the badlands is scenic. Most of the locations you can park a camper will have fair to midlin scenery without getting too treacherous as far as terrain. Teach the kiddos about rattlers, shale, and proper hydration and the trip should be memorable. Have Fun!!

    Trying New Lakes

    For smaller lakes, I crack a cold one, turn on the depth finder, throw out a crank, and drive. When I find something interesting I'll stop and jig it to see what's what. For bigger lakes, I look at the shoreline and fish where I think there might be structure and subsequently hold fish.

    It has traditionally been the night of the 4th. I don't know what other events they have in town, but a demo derby could be fun!!! Now I have to check into the rest of the events in Sanborn. Maybe we will spend the whole day there.

    Tiny Sanborn ND just west of Valley City puts on a good show for free will donations to their fire dept. We go every year we are in town and contribute to the fire dogs.
