    Day-time discharge (higher electricity consumption) versus nighttime discharges. The daytime water depth is much greater than during the night. Very noticeable at the tailrace boat ramp.

    Regarding flushing smelt, I noted a lot of them Saturday night while wading on the Missouri north of Bismarck. Also plenty of shad the Wednesday before. Water was about 18" higher from Wednesday to Saturday of last week.

    Last time at We-Fest was about 1995. I vaguely remember hearing music. Seems a long ways off now. Wait until you're in your 40s. I gave up the sauce a few years ago. I DO NOT MISS hangovers one little bit. Now if I have a headache, at least it's not my own dumb fault.
