    I think they do compete. I know this guy and his brother, build "boards". 4 x 8 sheets of plywood that are all pre-wired, etc, and they carry them out and just light one end. They spend 10's of thousands. Fun to watch, not fun to clean up the next day.

    I will second Dean. This is a shot of 72,000 bottle rockets going up at once, from near Hogue Island. One of my former co-workers and his brother go NUTS on the fourth, putting on a helluva show on the sandbar. I mean nuts... If you look close, you can see some crazy people on the ground...

    Yup, all good places. Landers is the wrong side of town however. South Walmart would work. Pony Express on Washington would work but again, the wrong direction. Runway Express is where you want to go, and I'm 98% sure they open at 5 AM.

    After 5 AM, as you head southeast out of town, there is Runway Express. If you get to the airport, you've gone too far. That's the last bait shop on the way out of town. Minnows, crawlers, and leeches to be had.
