    With some justification (like having a bull or two on a full section) you can post the land with State supplied signs. They usually range from "Must Notify _____" or closed to hunting until MM/DD/YY". Unless they've changed, there may be more options available that I'm forgetting.

    One does not necessarily need a CPA, the key is to find someone knowledgeable enough to warranty their work with a "you'll pay only the extra tax" clause that has them paying any penalties and interest. Many of them are CPA's, but not all are.
