    While the $/acre would be a lot higher, it's still a fair bit away from civilization. e.g. employment. And that would tone things down a bit. It's not like the other side of the river is exploding in development. Still, it is a damn nice setting you all have down there!

    I'd have to think it's worth a shot. What have you got to lose? At least the permatex and silicones won't get sticky to the boat once they are cured.

    Another thought, you could maybe take the webbing off the handle, put it in a plastic bag and squirt in a tube of silicone while massaging the bag/net. Then take the webbing out of the bag and gently wipe off the excess before hanging it out to cure.

    All I will say is GOOD LUCK! It sounds like quite the adventure and that's what it's all about when it comes right down to it. A person can always buy meat for way less in the store, and there are plenty of slightly used elk mounts as well. The one thing that you can't get anywhere else...

    Oh, and on to the original topic with a serious reply. If I were to try and re-coat a net, I might use a can of rubberized undercoating or truck bed coating. You can pick it up at your local Menards or autoparts store for about $5. That should dry out better than flex seal and still remain...
