I think what we are hearing is that more effort is needed if the members want to keep this chapter of NO MA'AM viable. For you young'uns out there:

    electric floor heat question

I think the only time I'd try a new thermostat design is if the building wasn't being heated to my liking. e.g., too big of a temp swing, or want to go to a programmable style. Maybe I'm missing something here as I've not had to delve into the fine details of a floor heat system, but how is a...

    electric floor heat question

Not to be a smartass, but what I heard when I read this was: I'd rather gamble by spending $500 to $2,000 and be disappointed before I pony up the $3 - $4k. Especially if money is a concern, this makes a pretty convincing case to avoid being unhappy with the cheap alternatives that will push...

About $150 for the tanning. Well worth it, IMHO.

If you haven't thought of it before now, a young deer hide makes an EXCELLENT throw for a recliner in the living room. And a great trophy from hunting skinheads.

Any disadvantaged hunter need access to deer hunt near Bismarck?

Hah, I wish I could take more credit for this than I deserve, but in reality it was the previous owner who designed the place to be handicapped accessible and I'd like to help fill the need if it exists locally. I just don't have the time to help with my own selfish interests (kids, etc).

Any disadvantaged hunter need access to deer hunt near Bismarck?

Just curious if any guide for a disadvantaged hunter needs a place to hunt near Bismarck. I don't necessarily have the time to be of much help, but I do know a place they can hunt that is fairly handicapped accessible. Just send me a PM and we can go over the details.

    Your roots

My parents and grandparents on both sides were born here, Golden Valley area and up by Anamoose/Drake. Stepfather's family about the same in the New Town neck of the woods, I know the patriarch to that one rode the train as far as it went at the time (Ross) and then walked south until he found...

    Wives

Personally, I have never cared what someone else drives. Don't plan on starting now. I am guessing that anyone who can't handle an suv, also struggle with a mid sized sedan.

Shore fishing for salmon on Sakakawea.

While I use sharp hooks, the hooks have to enter the mouth to be effective, regardless of brand. It was a good two inches out and away from that fish's minnow hole when it spat the lure in my general direction. - - - Updated - - - and yep, if it were a reef runner, it'd been game on. But it...

Shore fishing for salmon on Sakakawea.

I was up there last week, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Wednesday I fished along the face of the dam from shore and both bays to the east and west as the rain came and gone. Had several follows and one really nice salmon hit my lure about 15 feet from shore. That one jumped out of the...

    Peat Moss

There may be a peat bog in the NE part of the state somewhere, but the closest I know of are over in northern Minnetucky. Of course, you could just stop by your local Menards or friendly green house and see if they still have any in stock.

Oil, like every single other commodity comes in a near endless quantity of quality. Some refineries have been designed to convert light sweet crude (like the Bakken crude) into gasoline and diesel fuel, while others have been optimized to convert heavy crude into tar and asphalt. Bottom line...

Because it was easier to use an existing pipeline Right Of Way that already has been vetted for archeological sites and landowner easements.
