    Home security system

Hello I am in need of a home security system. I have narrowed it down to 2 thus far, Vivint or local cable company..... Vivint: $60/ month and $100 set up fee...cheapest to start....4 door alarms, 6 window sensors, 2 indoor HD cams to be replaced with outdoor cams when they go on sale, smoke...

Staying in shape for hunting season.

Been ages since P90 but yeah you're right it's more focused strength training I think..... Insanity is core/cardio/legs.....which is of no benefit to a hunter ;)

Staying in shape for hunting season.

I would recommend Insanity then. Own P90, Insanity and t25 and just prefer insanity over all others. T25 is too easy. P90 is too long and requires more equipment and likeep mentioned, yoga can go right to hell I did that one once and skipped it from there on out. Insanity is a good compromise...

Staying in shape for hunting season.

Gym 5 days a week. And I'll also go for runs/hikes/bike in the warmer months.. I switch things up throughout the year and focus on cardiovascular closer to Sept and weights now. I will haul the weighted pack to the gym and spend half hour on some stair stepper deal when it gets closer to hunt...

    Binocular covers...

Since this thread has been bumped up, I should mention I'm probably going back to my no protection Rick Young harness. I don't baby my shit, but for some reason with expensive optics I have in the past. Well every harness is a royal pain in the ass I've concluded. I hate em. Shedding and adding...

ATV Snow Plows vs. Snow Blower

I researched blowers last year and ended up with a decent Ariens model. Not their commercial ones, but right below them I think. The cheaper blowers are all the same shit, with the exception of the paint color. For me it came down to getting by with the Ariens or dropping the coin on a...

    Backpack Hunters

Most backpack stoves are made from titanium. There are a few different designs out there from different companies, mostly you have a cylinder type or a box type. They are surprisingly light and packable. Stove components in the 2 bags on the left, light saw on the right....my stove is a 12" Ed...

    Backpack Hunters

The biggest reason for me and floorless is the ability to run a stove. Early season when there are skeeters to deal with, and warm temps, I'll pack the tent every time. If it's consistently around freezing or below, I'll pack the tarp and stove. Anything in between is just what I feel like at...

    Backpack Hunters

Correct, Scarp 1. I really like it, for what it is. Handles weather very well, and is super quick and easy to pitch. Mine is seam sealed and have never been wet from rain. Condensation can get things damp but mostly that stays between the nest and the fly. Have never used a ground sheet and the...

    Backpack Hunters

I do a few backpack hunts a year.....have both a single man tent and a floorless tarp. Both have their place. As i get older I find I much prefer this however: Or even this:

    HS vs Cooper

Customs are going to be 2500-3500 depending on components and such. They will be more then your 1500 higher end "factory" rifles. I priced out a custom lightweight how I want it built and I'm around 3250 I think. Then I look at something like a Tikka T3 Superlite and bedding it into a Manners...

    HS vs Cooper

Nosler Patriot might be another to consider. Not sure if they come chambered in those 2 rounds but they have the 28 Nosler which appears to be a pretty nice 7mm round. Between the 2 you mentioned I would lean Cooper. In fact they are working on releasing a lightweight that looks damn nice also.

    Any Amateur Photographers Here

Really glad I got the new camera. Fun time playing with it and I think a few pics turned out Ok. Should have done this years ago!! These are all Jpeg havent had time to mess around with editing the RAW yet.

The whole posted / unposted land thing in ND should die (includes Poll)

How far will they go once released? If there is prime habitat with no hunting a mile away, would it be a lost cause as they would all end up there?

    What's in your flask?

Not that long ago they were $80/bottle, now they are $95-120. Just like the yuppie bourbon bandwagon, scotch has taken the same path.

    What's in your flask?

They are both Islay's, where the peat comes from....But Lagavulin is the top dog when it comes to the Islay's and the difference between the two would be like rubbing alcohol vs Grey Goose (IMO). Laphroig gets good praise, but I think it's shit compared to Lagavulin 16. I do like the peat...
