    Solar Farm

Regarding the concrete pillars, I don't believe modern solar farms are built using those. They use steel piles that are driven into the ground and the racks the panels are attached to are fastened to these piles. On a project this size there will be hundreds of thousands of these piles. The...

Fished Sunday 10am-sundown and Monday sunup-3pm around the mouth and west. Access from Warner road is good. Two of us caught 32 walleye with 1/2 of them being between 19-23". Only one bigger at 26". Not as good as the old days up there but this was the best of the four trips I made this season...

I've eaten a lot of fish out of this lake and they taste no different than the fish I eat out of DL and LOW. The green color is caused by limestone deposits in the northern portions of the lake. I have caught plenty of walleye on Lake Winnipeg that look no different than a walleye caught here in...

I get a kick out of watching some of those guys in trucks baja across the lake. Beat the absolute shit out of those trucks.

    Winnipeg

tons of trucks out all the way to the mouth. Very doable with good tires and some common sense but you will be limited to where you can travel. There are plenty of rough ice areas that collected a lot of snow that you would have to navigate around. Access from Warner road was rough but pretty good.

Catch and release isn't always the best option by doug leier

We have a family place there and I don't even bother ice fishing up there anymore after I discovered lake winnipeg about 8 years ago. Lots of action but I have no idea where the decent eater and slot fish go once the lake freezes. In the summer the quality of fish is much better.

Catch and release isn't always the best option by doug leier

Is this really true? I am from the other side of the state and have only had the pleasure of fishing this lake once (last summer) but I just kind of assumed that it had very good natural reproduction.

I fished January 21-22 and February 18-19. First trip found tons of fish but struggled to get them to bite. Second trip was the opposite, struggled to find fish but when we did they were fairly cooperative. Lots of bait and lots of suspended fish both trips. most of the fish we caught both trips...
