    Upland bird vest?

The Columbia quick loader is a great vest. I've had mine for 20 years and use it a lot each fall. I've bought or recommended for multiple people and they've all been happy. But, I don't know if they are available anymore. A good strap/backpack style vest might be my next but though. Nice...

    Ice Fishing Snaps

Those snaps are great. I usually tie up a dozen with 18" leaders to swivels for my walleye stuff. That way I can swap them quickly, they suck to tie when it is cold! Downside to the snaps are you don't retie often enough. But that are handy and I have not lost a lure or fish with them.

NWT stop in ND..not any more.

They can fish Mobridge and Oahe all they want in SD. That Francis Case tourney in April sucks though. As if there aren't already hundreds of boats from every state fishing from Ft. Thompson to the White River that time of year. All with shotty boat ramp access and little capacity. Fish...

    Ice Conditions OAHE

Seeing much other than shad in the fish? Good to see they have food. Curious how the ice fishing will be as past big shad years equalled crappy fishing during the winter. The reservoirs in SD i fish are shad based and one that die off starts around 34 degree water temp things get tougher.

    Trap gun

A BT99 is a no fail. Obviously not a crossover to anything else though. An O/U or semi auto gets you into doubles and the other games. The problem I have with the specialized guns is they are so specialized. Few are true all around guns. Both Remington and Winchester make trap versions of...

Humminbird & Minn-Kota US transducer interference?

I've got two Helix units on my boat. The console is a DI model with the Bird transducer while the bow unit is hooked up through the Minn-Kota Universal Sonar transducer. Whenever I run my bow unit, I get interference on my console unit. If it is on and in the water I get interference. I'm...

Ammo shortage is going to last a long time

I have plenty to get me by. And I couldn't care less about what he has or you have. I'm not worried about me, unlike the hoarders. I had a guy call me up tonight looking for .243 ammo for his wife. They thought they had 2 boxes, only had one. Had a scope issue and had to shoot a bunch more...

Ammo shortage is going to last a long time

Preparedness can't be argued. Paranoia can. I heard the same thing when Obama got elected. Then the rash of horrible mass shooting happened. The world was ending, guns and ammo were going away, etc. That's the mindset of a coworker who literally has a LIFETIME of .22 ammo in his closet, let...

    NEW Ice Fishing JIGS ??

Haven't seen or used one of those, but one similar. Sebile Vibrato, like a blade bait but better. Fun lure to fish! Not always on, but when it is it can be great!

Ammo shortage is going to last a long time

Maybe the guys with closets full of ammo can stop buying/hoarding so the folks who don't have any can have a better chance at getting some? I know guys still scavenging ever box they can find, even though they have a closet full.

    NEW Ice Fishing JIGS ??

Chubby Darters have been solid for me. Blue/Chrome has been the best. One day several years ago on the Oahe stateline, I plucked fish after fish out. Jigging raps caught a few, but that day the CD's kicked butt. Fish would rise WAY up, 15' or more, and come get them. Really fun day of...

    NEW Ice Fishing JIGS ??

Can't go wrong with the Jigging Rap's. #5's and 7's for ice, maybe a #9 if you are big fish hunting. I actually think the old Nilsmaster Jigger's are better in an ice situation. No even sure if you can get them anymore. I have not used the Shiver Minnows under the ice, like them in open...

    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My stuff was all nearly done. Yanked it all out yesterday. Hard freeze coming early this week along with possibly a dusting of snow. Let fall begin, from 98 degrees to snow in 3 days!

This is what happens when you drink and drive .............. a combine

A Busch Light or two at the end of a harvest day is nearly mandatory. However, this guy took it a little further. Painfully expensive with that S670. I can see it happening though, running at road speed, getting a little wiggle, then over correcting without slowing down at all. We had custom...

    yellowing headlight cover~

Agree with the above. Follow the directions and they work well. But you have to do it every year once you start.

    Kicker advice?

I do use my electric this way and like it most of the time. However, when it comes to real boat control, the tiller is by far superior. Not easier, certainly more work, but way better. if you have to tight countour troll leadcore for example, the tiller wins hands down. You can turn quick...

    Kicker advice?

One other thing to note is that you can get a Tohatsu or Nissan for a lot less money in some cases. Tohatsu motors are just rebranded to others, including Mercury. The 8hp Nissan I had on my first boat was identical to the 9.9 Pro Kicker. And honestly the internals look pretty much the same...

    Kicker advice?

I'm going to be the black sheep here. Agree on a 9.9, Zuke or Yamaha. However, after going from a tiller steer to console, I prefer the tiller. Tiller advantage is instant throttle control and steering. All you do is twist the throttle and you can turn lock to lock in a second. You can...

    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomatoes are turning quick with the heat. Guessing I'm over 1/2 done. Peppers are loving the heat too. All my salad greens however are not! Onions never really made it back from the hail. Carrots were monsters. I'd say in 2 weeks I'll be done for the year.
