    270 vs. 30-06

I also like the .270WSM. It has taken many deer, coyotes, and an Alaskan brown bear. I also shoot the tried and true 30.06 that was a hand me down rifle (now with upgrades from when I received it). Both will do the job on any North American big game.

    53-inch ND Muskie

I'm just a really bad fisherman and have no pics or videos to add. The 12-14" walleyes that I catch are no fun to see in pics. Congrats to those that catch the fish that are picture worthy. Keep the pics coming. It keeps me hopeful.

for you pickup mechanics out there

I understand where you are coming from, but for what its worth, most shops charge more than their normal labor rate for customer supplied parts. The bay the vehicle is in needs to make x dollar amount per hour, in parts and labor. We charge list price from the dealer on oem parts. If you have an...

VVT engine verses non VVT. 14 hour job. $100 cam, $800 in lifters, I am assuming Rockers as well $492.00 (normally wear - but may not need them), Push Rods @4.00 each as needed, Intake, Timing cover, Valve cover, Oil pan Gaskets, Oil and filter, Antifreeze, etc. $3200 assuming it needs it all.

for you pickup mechanics out there

I run a very reputable independent repair shop in Fargo, I would charge $3200 w/ tax for this job. My shop charges $95.00/Hr. I assume the dealer you went to is 120/hr. Their quote is accurate.

for you pickup mechanics out there

If it only misfires on 1 cylinder it is not a catalytic converter concern. The 5.7 are known for faulty lifters that wear the camshaft. The engines normally have compression with a faulty lifter, the valves normally stay closed with a faulty lifter. I think the shops are on the right track.

    Zebra Mussels

I trailer to Canada 2-3 times a year. I cross at Pembina, ND and Warroad, MN. I have never been checked for ANS. I have had to show my fish coming into the US. It is usually very quick.

    Huk rain gear

I have the Huk Jacket and Bibs. I bought them from Scheels about a month ago. Took them to Alaska for a 2 week trip and it worked way better than expected. I purchased it for the light drizzle that SE Alaska is known for and it out performed anything I have tried before. The jacket and bibs fit...

    Alumacraft Competitor Owners

I also ordered mine with a 150 Suzuki and debated about the 175. I did not see enough of a gain to justify the cost/fuel consumption of the 175.
