    Ice Fishing the Red River

Heard about people ice fishing the river. I am in the drayton area. Anyone know of any safe areas with access to ice fish when the time comes? Would there be anything to catch in addition to walleyes? What bait or lures would be best? Thank you.

    Freezing frogs for bait

I have been wondering if frozen frogs work as bait for catfish and walleye. Right now I have a spot where I can catch as many frogs as I want. In spring and summer months, though, I struggle to find any. So I was wondering if anyone has a good way to freeze frogs.

Walleye/Sauger Fall Run in Red River

Have heard many people talk about the walleye run. I am wondering when it usually happens and what lures/baits to use. I usually fish a few miles north of Drayton Dam. Would I be able to catch some there? I have caught a few while fishing for catfish, but never on purpose.
