    Water headed for Sakakawea?

Wowzer! I was optimistically hoping for 1835'

    Decrease speed limit

I don’t drive in SD much but in MT you can drive 85 all day long. Sure makes that giant ass state easier to get through.

    Decrease speed limit

I don’t want to do 80, I want to do 85 without being pulled over like our neighbor states.

    Decrease speed limit

There won’t be any, but we need to change interstates to 80!

    Water headed for Sakakawea?

Yeah as a whole peak snowpack was below average, but it came late and then because of an unusually cold spring the melt has been very slow. Now as we get into summer, you have thunderstorms dumping heavy rains on top of the unusually late snowpack and it all comes down at once...boom record floods!

Who's Ever Doing The Rain Dance.....

The Bismarck Bubble! It is amazing how frequently rain dissipates or splits right as its getting to Bismarck, only for it to blow back up right after it passes.

    Water headed for Sakakawea?

Keep it coming! Sak is currently at 1831', with current inflow of 51k. The Yellowstone alone at Billings is running that right now so we may see inflows of 75k+ by end of week. We may get lucky and gain a few more feet yet this year. :;:rockit

    Audubon transition?

Audobon could be a pretty sweet Muskie lake I think with the amount of structure, unfortunately you can't fish 2/3 of it in the summer. The only thing they have stocked in Audubon for the last decade is walleye and ski's, but no walleye since 2018, I'm assuming maybe already too many small fish...

Should we add a new State Record Fish Category?

MT seems to have a record for about every fish swimming in the state including creek chub, fathead minnow and smelt. https://fwp.mt.gov/fish/anglingData/records

    Water levels?

Nope below average, but we have climbed a little the last couple weeks. We were 80% of average, now we are in the low 90's percentage.

    Deer Summary

I thought I had seen a while back how many tags were returned or at least the percent. I don't think it was enough to really matter to be honest. Most people with a tag still went out and gave it the college try even if they ended up throwing in the towel after a few days because of lack deer.

Electric boats? coming soon or probably not?

I think to many people get caught up in the fossil fuel vs electric debate when it comes to electric vehicles. We haven't all switched to electric augers because they are "green" we've done it because they are lighter, faster, more convenient easier to maintain etc. Eventually the same will go...

Electric boats? coming soon or probably not?

Pull the batteries out of that sparkly boat and let me know how far you get. How are just bigger batteries powering an electric motor any different. Been using completely electric trolling motors for decades, a bigger one wouldn’t be any different. Basically “electricity” as you put it isn’t the...

Your current boat runs without electronics or batteries?

    Savings account alternative??

Hmm never heard of these, just a bit of reading and think I may have to check them out. Sound like there may also be an advantage to locking in the current April rate of 7.12% for the next 6 months and then you would get the May rate of 9.62% for the next 6 months after that, basically...

    April Blizzard Predicted next week

Its about a half block visibility on the edge of Bismarck right now. I can see the houses across the street and behind me but nothing beyond that. Drifts are starting to form and my neighbor cant make it up his driveway in a car, because of the snow and ice under it. Made the right decision to...

    Motorcycles

I rode some dirt bike as a kid and then had a street bike for 10 years and put on 20k miles without incident. I went on a couple trips which were fun and would have probably done more if my buddies didn't all get married and have kids so quick. Sold my bike a few years ago after I was just kind...
