    If I'm reading the results right, the first place team after day 1 only got 1 fish for 4 pounds the second day and lost by less than a quarter pound? That hurts.

    Amazon lists a 55# with ipilot Link (Link is needed to follow contours), but I'm not sure if new models of the 55 have Link, it doesn't look like it based on their website. But, you're not getting one for under 2k most likely unless you find one used.

    Just redid my bunks with wood & carpet, cost me about $100. I'm guessing the set I had was original, over 20 years old. The synthetic boards would cost around $500 and I do wonder about their performance on fiberglass. Can imagine they'd be nice, but on a boat I don't know I'll keep for 10+...

    MR Crappie in Beaver Bay - south?

    Always seem to hear that most of the crappie success was attributed to a very large year class from 2011 (big flood year) and that those have died out. Haven't heard of much crappie success on Oahe the last few years but I'm sure there's some around.

    I think to argue that they don't migrate to some degree is ridiculous. The best of fishermen would have a hard time putting together a 4 pound average in town right now whereas a month ago it was no problem and higher. Do those fish just sit around now and not bite? Sure their habits change...

    Rain

    Looks like some solid totals from the last 24 hours between Miles City and Wolf Point, and it looks like it will rain pretty much all day today as well. Probably won't do much for lake levels but can't hurt! Hopefully more timely rains throughout May and June.
