    We are in DST now and it’s how it should stay all year. Going to standard time would mean light by 4:30 in the summer and dark by 9:30. DST was created to move those super early mornings in the summer so everybody can enjoy the light in the evenings.

    Get off the resorts and rent from an independent shop like Snorkel Bobs, you can rent everything for $40 a week. And yes you want fins if you want to do any kind of decent snorkeling, they are way more efficient and relaxing, and can save your life if you get in some current which HI has plenty of.

    The river has been running bank to bank all summer, and is currently only about 1 foot below "action stage". I would imagine these flows this late into fall are near historic levels. Lake is currently at 1,844' they take it to 1,837' every spring before runoff starts.
