    Crown Butte used to be good for bluegill, etc. action. I know it killed off last winter so not sure if what they stocked this year would be catchable or not...guessing the G&F biologist would probably tell you if you called.

    Wouldn't worry about it pheasant hunting in cover. Probably more important to make sure they're staying hydrated in this kind of weather, even if they do eat snow.

    Sweetbriar had a couple holes that froze over last weekend so I would think you'd be in good shape there as I'd think the shorelines would be 6" or more by now...Crown Butte was in about the same shape so I would think most of those would be similar.

    I think the Big Ten took care of most of that. Kinda feel bad for them as they didn't want to leave the WCHA but were forced to. I don't follow hockey much anymore but it is startling to see how much the fan base has left the gophers. Did they have 1000 fans of their own at Thursday's game?

    Drove from Bismarck to Fargo yesterday. Most lakes had open water on them; one brave soul on Island lake. Hobart had lots of open water out in the middle.
