    Load Testing

Inside of like 800 yards, (with most cartridges) you'd never know the difference between those two loads. For example, taking my standard 6.5 Creed load, a 140 ELDM with 2850 MV. If the next shot is 20 fps slower, the impact is only about 2.48 inches lower at 800 yards. Now I'm not saying that...

I have 3# of H1000 and 8# of RL 16 that I would offload. I'd prefer to trade for H4895. FM area.

    Load Testing

Assuming you can do it consistently, there's nothing wrong with .65 MOA from a hunting rifle. If you really feel compelled to tinker, I would try different seating depths at that same charge. You might tighten it up a bit.

    Chasing Rifle accuracy questions 0

Haha, I have a Savage 22-250 barrel like that. I've had a replacement sitting in my safe for a year, but I just can't bring myself to put it on when the original still shoots so well. I looked at it with a bore scope a while back, and it looked like toast, but it has survived several prairie...

    Bait casting setups

Agreed it's idiotic. Why would anyone want to switch the rod in your hands on every cast? I own exactly one bait caster with the handle on the right-hand side, and that's so when I'm trolling bottom bouncers, I can have a rod in each hand and be able to set one down while I'm setting the hook...

Black Rifle Coffee Co. hates YOU!!!

Agreed. I read Mat Bests book. He's a real life bad ass. It's odd how just about every conservative would dismiss the NYT as a leftist rag that purposely distorts the truth, but many were so quick accept their twisting of this story.

    Reloading .223 for AR Platform

You're not likely to find a single bullet that's good at all of those things in .224. You probably want a 50-60gr varmint bullet for coyotes, a 68-75gr match bullet for targets, and pick a different rifle for deer. Your CFE 223 will sling a 50-60ish varmint bullet plenty fast. IME, the 53gr...

Scheels in Fargo has a number of bullets, but most notably, they had several boxes of 6.5mm 140 ELDM last night. I'm well stocked, so I let them pass.

Zebra Mussels Discovered in Twin Lakes

So someone was burnt at the stake? When was this? Seems like it would have made the news... Also, you're telling me there's people at game and fish that no longer have an ass? That must be a weird look... ...Sorry, I have nothing of value for this thread, but my 13 year old constantly...

    2 stroke vs. 4 stroke

Love me a 2 stroke for their torque, but for your application, a 4 would probably be better. In either case, you'll probably need some add-ons to make it troll slow enough.

Do you use a sun shade on your riflescope?

I have them on a few rifles. Aside from keeping the sun off your glass, they can also be good for keeping light snow and rain off the objective (as long as the rifle is positioned horizontally). I run flip caps too, but like to have them open when sitting on a coyote stand. About the only...

    Glass Bedding

I've done two bedding jobs, one with Acraglass, and one with Marinetex. Both came out very nice. The Marinetex was a little easier to work with. I'm a believer in free-floating the barrel, so I wouldn't go past the recoil lug.

    NDGF: Steinwand Retiring

They are ripping out a shit-ton of trees just off I29 near Hankinson as we speak. Makes me want to punch someone in the face. On the other hand, my dad and brother both farm, and they've PLANTED tree rows and CRP over the last few years. As Guy stated, there are good and bad. The problem is...

    Our ammuntion issues.

Yep, I don't even know that many people, but I know 2 guys, both near their 40s that had never owned a gun a year ago. Now they have like 10 between them. They've both been buying a lot of ammo that previously would have sat on shelves. That's anecdotal of course, but I think certain...
